Little Bun is on a mission to spread joy – first through high-quality, delicious Asian food products, but also through the experiences we create for the world. We were born when two Chinese kids moved to the suburbs of America and couldn’t find easy-to-make, healthy Asian food similar to what their parents made. Through food we found joy and we’re passionate about creating experiences of joy for each and every human.
We’re on a mission to connect people, cultures, and share stories. Our team is looking for a rockstar Social Media guru who has a passion for telling stories through video and text. You’d be the first person to build this from the ground up and are a go-getter that gets excited about building something from scratch.
ABOUT YOU
You're comfortable being on camera and being the face of a brand. You are a storyteller, a creator, an artist and you love easy to make Asian food! You love food and all the wonderful ways it brings people together. You love turning strangers into friends. You may have a sense of humor and/or you bring a sense of joy to the rooms you enter.
You know the value of Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, blog posting, and how each channel is valuable for different things. You are a seeker – you aren’t scared to go on the streets and talk to people. You have crafted a social media account for yourself already and are excited to wake up with a blank slate to create an identity for Little Bun.
MUST HAVE:
- You’re a social media enthusiast and independent user of multiple social platforms (TikTok, Twitter, Instagram/Instagram Stories, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
- You have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- You have 1-3 years of experience in a social media role (bonus points if you built the social presence from scratch) OR you have 1-3 years of experience in a video producer role where you’ve created video content with a storytelling format.
- You are equally visionary and great at execution. You envision the story and then you execute it.
- You’re thoughtful, kind, and empathetic.
- You’re a self-starter, with the ability to think on your feet and show excellent judgment. You have the ability to prioritize high-volume community comments.
- You’re an independent decision-maker and can manage your own schedule to hit goals.
- You’re extremely organized and can create roadmaps for each channel as the environment, market, business, and products evolve.
- Important: You know how to create videos and have done so already on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
NICE TO HAVE:
- You’ve worked at a fast-growth CPG startup.
- You managed social media elsewhere and can lead a future team ;)
- Familiar with and love (!) Asian food, particularly dim sum.
This is a contract position with the opportunity to be full-time and lead our Media division – shepherding media across all socials, advertising, partnerships, and more. You will play a crucial role in creating the tangible embodiment of the Little Bun brand across digital and online channels that will touch offline later down the road.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will play a major role in building our digital persona and in being the voice that engages with, connects with, and responds to our community.
- Create videos and post content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
- Respond to all comments and questions on social media acting as the voice of the brand
- Responsible for engagement, retention, and scaling our reach on social
- Interview people in our community & network – act as a representative of our brand.
- Work cross-functionally with design, branding, PR to keep the brand voice cohesive.
