The Director of Content and Social Media Marketing is an early hire on CFI’s Marketing team with an opportunity to build an incredible content marketing powerhouse. As a content company, we exist to deliver highly engaging, relevant, and data-driven content to our current and future customers. CFI’s content marketing vision is to build brand momentum and demand by providing highly engaging content through inbound, social, community, and influencers channels.
The person in this role will report to the VP of Marketing and have the autonomy to strategize and execute creative content creation and distribution ideas. The Director of Content and Social Media Marketing is responsible for driving the content and social strategy for CFI’s individual (b2c) and business (b2b) offerings.
The role spans Content Marketing, Social Media Strategy, Community Management, and Influencer Relations and is responsible for establishing the content, social, and community campaigns, as well as the overall “trusted voice” of CFI.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Build sustainable demand for CFI’s offerings, and exceed traffic and sales targets through authentic, relevant content and social media marketing.
- Deliver a multi-touch, multi-channel content strategy to engage CFI’s core audiences.
- Fully own, plan and execute CFI’s content marketing and social media calendar.
- Build and coach a world-class content and social media marketing team, including writers and creators.
- Lay the groundwork to build a scalable content marketing framework focused on building high-value content with long shelf-life and repackaging value.
- Partner closely with the broader marketing team as well as with Sales and Customer Success teams to deliver against goals. Work in tight orchestration with CFI’s Content team, including the subject matter experts building CFI’s industry-leading learning content.
- Drive Social Marketing with support from a social media manager to drive organic growth and authentically build and engage CFI’s core audiences.
- Build CFI’s influencer strategy to form scalable, authentic connection points with CFI’s most engaged community members as well as with influential members of the broader finance and banking community.
- Ideate viral, attention-grabbing content and social campaigns that establish CFI as the trusted voice in the finance and banking sectors.
- As we scale, grow the Content, Social, and Community team to add in-house influencers.
About You
- 7+ years of content marketing and social media experience in B2B SaaS
- Experience building tailored content for organic, social, and paid channels
- This role requires broad strategy, operations, content creation, and distribution skills. The ideal candidate will be equally passionate about content creation and distribution.
- Passionate about working in a cross-functional environment and are looking to serve a critical role foundational to company’s growth and success
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and project management skills
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communicator and storyteller
- Experience in EdTech, financial services or corporate finance is a strong plus
