About You

You’ll have an exceptional eye for opportunities to engage audiences, particularly through viral social growth hacking, scalable content creation, and repurposing strategies. You’ll have a knack for ‘storytelling’, and help our personality and authenticity shine through in our socials.

You’ll lead by example with a great attitude and a willingness to roll the sleeves up to get things done. You’ll work independently to begin with but have the capacity to grow & manage a team as required.

The ideal candidate is a hard-working team player who will play a critical role in creating original digital content across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Propose/create original content for all social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter)
  • Support launch of new social tools and platforms.
  • Updating creative pieces (visual + text edits), designing materials, providing administrative support.
  • Organize and maintain social/design tools (Canva, digital asset management system).
  • Editing short form video content using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or comparable video editing software
  • Develop & manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities that engage current users & acquire new users, including online advocacy, community-outreach efforts, creating and posting content, whilst staying abreast of trending topics and industry news.
  • Develop an engaging and brand-aligned content calendar every month.
  • Generate dialogue, buzz, interaction, trending topics/content and conduct outreach for potential influencer partnerships for the brands.
  • Conduct on-going trend and competitive analysis to inspire content ideas and build relevance and engagement on brand social channels.
  • Deliver monthly reporting with actionable insights to improve content performance and future campaigns
  • All aspects of social strategy and bringing to life brand identities and brand experience on each social media platform
  • Developing graphic assets for each platform, and editing photos to make them shine.
  • Communicating with peers, colleagues, and collaborators effectively and positively across the team
  • Drive creative content strategy across all of social and handle end-to-end content concepting + production – including small-scale video and photo shoots (ex. Editing TikTok videos), Facebook/Instagram Lives, and assets in static, gif, and video formats
  • Create bold, trend-setting, engaging and shareable content and must be well versed in managing design principles for all social-first deliverables including: images, videos, gifs. Memes, IG Stories, etc.
  • Be heavily involved in strategic brainstorming/ideation and providing social-specific creative priorities in all campaign brief developments in adherence with tight deadlines
  • Collaborate closely and frequently with photo, digital, media, and brand-marketing teams to ensure social creative strategy aligns with overall business priorities
  • Culture-track and stay abreast of industry trends in the social media space and translate findings into creation of relevant and buzz-worthy content ideas

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • 1-3 years experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, or Social Media Marketing
  • Must be able to manage numerous accounts
  • Community management experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Social media scheduling platforms
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to Work Independently and Creatively
  • Stay Up-To-Date with Trends in the Social Media Industry
  • Knowledge of How Various Social Media Channels Work, How to Optimize Content, How to Monitor and Report Social Campaign Results, and How to Grow Brand Awareness.
  • Ability to Track KPIs & Benchmarks to Communicate Analytics to Clients
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Experience using video editing programs, such as CapCut, Avid, Premiere and/or After Effects ∙ Have experience creating content on behalf of a brand and/or digital platform
  • A strong personal social media presence
  • You have a variety of tools in your arsenal including brand and logo development, illustration, animation and video editing skills.
  • You are collaborative and can easily participate in meetings with other departments, as well as our clients.
  • Willingness to experiment on the platforms, with features like motion videos and threads
  • You have great time management skills
  • You have excellent writing, editing and grammar skills
  • You have strong interpersonal capabilities and a sense of team goals
  • You're a hard worker and collaborator
  • Hands-on experience managing and growing social media communities across the key platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with creating and repurposing content, and optimizing for different social media channels
  • A data-driven approach to experimentation, and the analytical skills to measure the impact of your work.
  • Familiarity with common social media management tools to make your workflow more efficient and optimize results.
  • Creativity with the ability to follow brand guidelines
  • Must be able to problem solve on the fly and prioritize given tasks
  • Must be comfortable with working in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
  • Be a strategic partner to the team with conceptual thinking & storytelling skills

Responsibilities

We don't necessarily care how long you've been doing social media marketing; more important is the passion and talent you bring to the table. With that said, it would be nice if you have the following experience:

•Help organize and maintain marketing collateral on company’s shared drive

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.). Working knowledge of social media tools (i.e., Hootsuite).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PPT and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knows how to create high-quality images and video on mobile
