Purpose Of The Job
The Social Media/Content Specialist is responsible for creating and publishing content across all platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn for all WernerCo North American brands. This role will be responsible for helping establish social channel objectives, plans and KPIs that demonstrate social engagement and brand affinity. Reporting to the Head of Content and Creative, this role collaborates cross-functionally with sales, channel, digital, product and creative teams to develop relevant content and copy.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
- Manage social communities for the Werner, Knaack, Weather Guard and Better Built brands
- Develop goals across social platforms and align the tactics for each brand
- Create new content that builds meaningful connections, increases brand awareness, and encourages engagement
- Identify relevant UGC that can be leveraged to benefit WernerCo brands
- Build quarterly social calendars
- Work with the legal team to understand posting parameters
- Measure results by tracking metrics and insights across platforms
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies to optimize high-performing tactics.
- Respond to ratings and reviews on retailer and owned sites
- Support PR and Influencer initiatives
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Emphasis in Marketing, Advertising, Media, or Communications preferred
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in social media, marketing, and digital-related functions
- Experience leveraging social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Youtube) as part of marketing mix
- Strong understanding of content deployment and relevant KPIs
- Confidence to post relevant and engaging responses in real time across all social platforms
- SEO
- Familiarity with public relations, influencer initiatives, digital marketing tactics and campaign development
- Understanding of product ratings and reviews as a selling tool preferred
