Cvent’s growing information security organization is seeking to hire an Intern Security Engineer to join its Security Risk Management and Compliance team. The role will provide support for automating and optimizing information security governance and risk management processes.
In This Role, You Will:
- Understand Cvent audit and risk program and processes and tools to develop code and scripts for security process automation within our AWS environment.
- Collaborate with technical process owners and security experts to develop core security audit automation to reduce the errors and time of manual work.
- Play a key role in continuously delivering, maintaining and enhancing next-gen security capabilities to support our growing customer base and subsequent security expectations.
- Serve as a Security Development influencer for our ever hanging landscape.
- Review and develop technical security standards and polices for services and tools used within Cvent.
- Conduct secure engineering tech talks to continue cultivating a pro-security culture
- Support day-to-day security risk and compliance management tasks to support achievement of team objectives and an agile business climate.
Here's What You Need:
- Atleast a bachelors in computer sciences or a Master in IT/Cyber Security/Software Engineering.
- Basic knowledge about security principles and tools.
- Good scripting skills preferably Python.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Eager to look for resolution and go beyond the obvious to deploy workable solutions.
- Good interpersonal communication skills with experience and confidence in collaborating with internal and external partners and stakeholders to develop productive relationships and achieve positive security risk management outcomes.
- Ability to learn quickly with a willingness to take ownership for new projects and learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Awareness of industry standards for compliance such as ISO 27001:2013, PCI DSS, and SSAE 18 SOC 1 / SOC 2 attestation standards is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to produce and maintain documentation, specifically developing technical standards and reports.
- Knowledge of collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Office, Slack, Box, and Zoom.
