Q.Digital, the leading independent LGBTQ-owned media company behind the websites Queerty, LGBTQ Nation, GayCities, and INTO, is seeking a marketing coordinator to join their marketing team. This position – like all of Q.Digital – will be remote (US Only).
The ideal candidate is highly organized, with a love for creating timelines and maintaining calendars – let your Type-A side soar! This person will have great communication skills, and the ability to wear multiple hats while working on a wide variety of tasks on any given day. They are well-versed in LGBTQ+ pop culture, with an understanding of who is currently trending in film and television and on social media.
The person in this role will work closely with the passionate members of our small but mighty marketing team, including the Marketing Programs & Partnerships Manager and the Director of Video & Social, in addition to our award-winning editorial team. The collaborations will provide a great opportunity to learn about marketing in LGBTQ digital media, in addition to being rewarding and fun. The work done in this role directly contributes to the original content and programs that elevate underrepresented voices, providing an opportunity to meet influential people in the queer community, all while making the world a better place for LGBTQ folks.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify LGBTQ influencers who would be a good fit for our LGBTQ+ content and campaigns
- Reach out to potential influencers to gauge interest and availability and negotiate collaboration deals
- Facilitate influencer content creation on projects, ensuring they’re turning work in on time and helping to answer any questions they may have throughout the process
- Create campaign timelines and load them into our project management system
- Manage content calendars for company emails, sponsored articles, and video launch dates
- Create meeting outlines for client kick-off calls
- Conduct outreach to nominees and their representatives (publicists, agents, etc.) for all Q.Digital tentpoles throughout the year, including The Queerties and Pride50
- Edit social graphics as needed
- Gather weekly performance metrics for Q.Digital articles and videos
- Participate in creative brainstorms during the pitching process with potential sponsorship partners
Qualifications
- 1+ years in project management or executive assistant role
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Calendars, Gmail, Docs and Sheets, etc.)
- Experience with project management software, such as ClickUp, Asana, or Smartsheet
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Knowledge of LGBTQ+ pop culture and social media trends
- Proficiency in PhotoShop is a plus
