Position Summary:

The Communications team is hiring for a Social Media and Community Manager. The Communications team leads the integrated marketing approach across PR, influencer and social media for the company with a strong focus on digital and social communications to drive brand awareness and visibility for the brand.

We are seeking a creative, self-starting individual with deep social media experience to help grow and develop an engaged and authentic community of individuals across all organic social channels.

As the Social Media and Community Manager, you are a cross-functional, creative, and results-driven marketer and communicator who is passionate about managing and establishing the brand's on-going voice and image, while building social communities that are passionate about the brand as much as we are! This position will help lead the management and execution of the ongoing community strategy and will be key in establishing, executing and engaging highly visible social programs, campaigns and relationships for the brand.

What You’ll Do:

Community Engagement

  • Monitor and engage with the social community across all social channels with an ‘always on’ mentality.
  • Assist in developing playbooks and toolkits leveraging best practices that help widen the reach and increase engagement across our social channels.
  • Develop and continue building strong relationships with influencers, ambassadors and the overall community.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, PR and Customer Relations teams to develop and execute effective strategies that foster community growth and loyalty.
  • Maintain and develop community/fan groups and activations to help continuously drive authentic relationships

Social Media Planning

  • Help develop and schedule organic social content for Instagram, Instagram Stories, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube, growing engagement and conversation while upholding the Function of Beauty voice and aesthetic across the social space.
  • Help identify key activations with other like-minded brands to develop and execute cross-promotional tactics on social media (giveaways, collabs, etc).
  • Stay up-to-date on industry and cultural trends to align social and digital strategy with broader marketing and partnership initiatives.
  • Support the crafting of creative briefs and inspiration to prompt new ideas and thinking of how to engage with our current and future community.

Reporting

  • Analyze and report social channel and activation performance to quantify the effectiveness of campaigns and drive scalable learnings
  • Regularly track, analyze, and report on the performance of campaigns, content, and overall sentiment analysis.
  • Obtaining feedback and gathering ideas from our audience through real conversations.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications preferred
  • 3-4+ years of experience as a community manager
  • Expert knowledge of all current social media platforms; familiarity with up-and-coming platforms along with content performance metrics.
  • Beauty industry experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical-thinker and problem-solver
  • Passionate about social media and building strong, authentic social communities
  • Strong sense of urgency/timeliness and initiative while withholding an ‘always on’ approach

Employment Category:

  • Full Time, Exempt
  • Hybrid Work Schedule: 2x a week onsite in NYC
