Social Media Manger (m/f/d)

About The Role

The Social Media Manger lives and breathes all things social and will drive ESPRIT’s strategy and ensures the successful execution of content across all social channels - Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, and potential additional platforms.

This position works cross-functionally with many teams across the organization such as Brand Marketing, Site Merchants, Art Direction, Editorial, and more. The successful candidate will have an elevated creative and styling aesthetic, possess an understanding of the business, be skilled and fluent in reading analytic data and translating it into creative social strategies, adept at building a content pipeline and calendaring the execution of assets, and aware of trends in the social space and how best to capitalize on them

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Manage overall social media calendar across all channels
    • Ideate and prioritize features based on key trends, vendors, items
    • Partner with Growth and Merchants to ensure business objectives are met and to ensure all product is live for editorial features
    • Create and implement comprehensive social media plans to boost brand image and increase customer engagement
    • Lead seasonal campaigns, owning strategy, concept and operations (e.g. Pride, Black History Month, Holiday)
    • Build content strategy key franchises, trend & seasonal edits, UGC, fashion week & event coverage
    • Act as point of contact for co-op proposals and fashion books/digital campaigns
  • Oversee and ensure smooth operations of the team
    • Ensure timely completion of projects by team
    • Quality assurance of posting, brand proposals and influencer SOWs
    • Review weekly comp decks to ensure accuracy and category cadence
    • Review fashion week and event coverage to ensure elevated aesthetic and appropriate verbiage
  • Deliver industry-leading engagement and demand generation
    • Lead monthly reporting + key insights and drive improvements to upcoming content and future campaigns
    • Partner with Paid Social to ensure unified strategy across Organic and Paid
    • Stay up to date on the latest social media best practices and tools for all major social media platforms and stay ahead for fashion & beauty trends
    • Evolve how social media can be leveraged to drive sales and make it easier for customers to shop on social without having to leave the platforms (e.g. FB Live)
  • Creative Partnership
    • Supervise TikTok agency and coordinate their activities to achieve our social media campaign objectives
    • Work with internal Creative teams to develop content & key franchises in manner that is native to social, including developing aesthetic & tone
  • Create & edit social content (IG Stories, Reels, IGTVs) where appropriate
  • Community Management
    • Collaborate with Customer Service and Corporate Communications to develop a playbook on how to engage followers and customers.
    • Proactively manage consumer response by detecting inflection points in social media that warrant attention
    • Proactively engage consumers online to drive favorable brand conversations
  • Develop and vet the influencer needs and selection in collaboration with the Influence Team

Your Skills and Competencies

  • 5+ years developing innovative digital marketing and social media initiatives for fast paced consumer brands, preferably in the global fashion space
  • Possess a mix of creative, strategic and operational abilities
  • Embrace extremely high standards for aesthetic, accuracy, and execution
  • Skilled at leading a team, scaling social media content and driving continuous improvement based on KPIs and industry trends
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter and how fashion brands can interact with their audience in an authentic and effective way, tailored for each platform
  • Strong analytical skills, able to effectively review and analyze performance metrics and pivot quickly when necessary
  • Strong at collaborating with cross functional teams, internal and external to launch social media strategies and campaigns with measurable business outcomes
  • Possess strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in written (e.g., email, texts, Slack, documents) and verbal (e.g., meetings and calls) channels with internal and external recipients
  • Able to prioritize new business needs, while maintaining long term strategic initiatives

Compensation Range ~$90K This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
