Description:

Betches Media is looking for a Director of E-commerce who is highly experienced in strategic planning and management for both our in-house merchandise and licensing business (shopbetches.com) and our growing affiliate editorial business. This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will have significant cross-department exposure across the company.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with strong business acumen, passion for Betches Media & contributing to a positive and productive culture.

Role & Requirements:

• In this position, you will be tasked with establishing, implementing, and optimizing e-commerce strategies and execution across the Betches Media portfolio, including both our own shop (shopbetches.com) and affiliate commerce business
• Manage and grow affiliate relationships directly with merchants, brands and affiliate networks, negotiating rates and exclusive deals to increase revenue
• Serve as the main business point of contact for editorial teams, collaborating closely to identify and advocate for e-commerce opportunities
• Track daily e-commerce revenue and key metrics, leveraging them to inform partner, category and platform-specific strategies and opportunities
• Evaluate ways to grow and improve the e-commerce business across Betches Media with an eye towards increasing revenue both within and beyond existing strategy and products
• Create, define and analyze metrics to measure the success of both sides of our e-commerce business
• Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve product development including sourcing, sampling and lead times
• Build and manage P&L including forecast and track volume metrics, business drivers and costs
• Identify new business development & revenue opportunities
• Identity, pitch and build opportunities to scale, increase revenue and drive conversion
• Drive strategy to reach annual revenue goals
• Organize buying strategy & manage inventory
• Create the best customer experience through all touch points with the customer (website, IG, packaging, customer service, etc)
• Work with Marketing team to plan & execute e-commerce marketing strategy including email, influencer marketing, paid promotion, and more
• Act as a key point of contact / referral / conduit for ad sales team as needed, including product collaboration and paid partnerships campaigns
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, Shopify is preferred
• Ability to support product development that is authentic to the Betches brand & voice (and all sub brands)
• Manage & support team members

Qualifications:

• Strong experience & understanding of the e-commerce environment
• Strong experience in growing an e-commerce business, with a primary focus on establishing and scaling an affiliate business
• Strong experience working with e-commerce software such as Shopify is preferred
• Business development and sales experience in e-commerce and digital media or related industry mix
• Demonstrated ability to structure & implement sales monetization/optimization strategies
• Demonstrated track record of identifying and executing successful partnerships and large-scale marketing deals, particularly in the e-commerce and digital media industries
• Strong track record of creating and achieving sales plans & revenue goals
• Ability to negotiate complex partnership opportunities & agreements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to both react to current business as well as ability to anticipate future business trends
• Strong interest in Betches Media, Shop Betches product & brand
• 6-8 years of experience, including management

Compensation:

The expected annual base salary for this role is $100,000 - $130,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors such as location are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following perks below.
