At SMTM we believe Creators should own their platform, not platforms owning the Creators.
Led by the former EVP of Commerce at BuzzFeed and funded by Daughters Capital, a consumer-tech incubator led by the founder of Reformation, we are reimagining the creator ecosystem by capturing and maximizing the value creators deserve to get credit for driving.
We are obsessed with building the best solutions for premium content creators and are looking for a talented Head of Creator Partnerships who will build and grow our network of premium content creators. We are looking for someone with a big rolodex of creator relationships, who is great at spotting emerging talent, and passionate about building genuine and meaningful relationships with our creator community.
Objectives for this role:
- Responsible for growing the number of premium creators in the SMTM creator network
- Tap into your existing rolodex of relationships and bring them into the SMTM creator network
- Develop and effectively communicate a strategy for creator expansion and retention, including advocating for budget and/or additional resources to successfully deliver against your plan
- Establish strategic partnerships with key players in the industry to unlock access to premium creators
- Be the voice of our creators to advocate for solutions and services that best serve their needs
- Help manage our network of resources built to service our creators
- Partner with CEO and cross-functional teams to unlock strategic partnerships with key advertisers that best align with our creator network
- Nurture our creator community by designing resources, events, and services that help a creator extract the most value from joining the SMTM creator network
- Set the foundation of our Creator Partnerships function
About You
- You have 4+ years of experience in the creator and/or talent space
- You have a big rolodex of premium creator relationships
- Creators trust you and love working with you
- Your communication style is open, honest, and not driven by an agenda. You make people feel comfortable and happy to work with you and you can clearly articulate opportunities and make people feel comfortable about exploring them
- You are as good of a listener as you are a communicator. You really listen to the clients you represent and make them feel heard and valued
- You value relationships built on trust and mutual respect
- You are an empath and value the feelings of those around you
- You are optimistic, collaborative, and open to different ways of working
- You’re not afraid to speak up and advocate for ways to better serve your clients
- You are a critical thinker and can develop strategic solutions problems or opportunities
- You are excited by the challenge of a big goal and feel energized by finding creative ways to achieve it
