Job Description Summary
The Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune are looking for a Content Creator/Editor who is passionate about their craft and also understands the power of concepts and ideas.
The Content Creator/Editor will be an integral part of the consumer marketing team and help us as we strive to create compelling content that helps us grow our brand and digital consumer base. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, solutions-oriented, resourceful and willing to concept with the rest of team. This person will be well versed in creating and crafting compelling visual communication across a broad range of traditional and online formats including but not limited to: social, online content, print, broadcast, audio.
This individual’s primary focus will be to support the Consumer Marketing team in the creation of marketing, brand, and product assets to drive subscriptions, retain existing subscribers and promote Events and other initiatives. This role will reside on the Creative Services team within the larger Consumer Marketing group.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Videographer/Cinemaphotography
- Bring a storytelling eye to the filming of events, and marketing materials.
- Ability and desire to go out into the city to shoot areas of interest that can help promote editorial content.
- Ability and willingness to attend events outside of regular business hours.
- Editing
- Craft clear and concise pieces of video content to be used for sales, marketing, and social.
- Photography
- Proficient at shooting still photography in studio, and at events.
- Animation
- Proficient with after effects to support design teams creativity.
- Proficient with after effects to support design teams creativity.
Qualification
- 3-6 years experience editing and shooting marketing content either direct for client, with an advertising agency or production company.
- Strong multi-tasking skills. Ability to work with competing deadlines and have the ability to effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize deliverables.
- Strong understanding of Adobe Suite, primarily Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
- Strong understanding of photography and lighting.
- A portfolio that showcases your creativity and craft.
