Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 Annually

The UNITE Communications team is growing, and we are seeking a social-savvy, highly-motivated and proactive Social Media Manager who has a deep understanding of the digital world and knows how to lead, strategize, grow and connect. This position will be responsible for building innovative social media campaigns that drive best-in-class consumer experience and engagement across all social media platforms for the UNITE brands. It is the perfect role for someone strategic with an affinity for creativity and the beauty industry.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with Communications Director on social media strategies across all platforms
  • Day-to-day channel management from ideation to execution; including mapping out all content, creating asset briefs, planning feed, stories, Reels, scheduling and maintaining an organized social calendar
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing content calendar and posting all social activity across channels while responding to all social media questions, comments, and direct messages daily
  • Collaborate with Communications Director and Art team to plan and develop content
  • Support and grow community programs inclusive of social content partnerships, events, and community driven brand initiatives while deepening community relationships
  • Partner with influencer team on strategic recommendations that support key social and brand initiatives, build community, and impact organic growth
  • Conduct trend research, platform innovation and best practices to grow social platforms while elevating overall brand social strategy in real time
  • Monitor content performance analysis and reporting across all social media platforms
  • Work with Communications Manager and Coordinator to track celebrity and influencer activity
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Team, sharing key questions/inquiries from the UNITE online community
  • Collect and manage all data from online community
  • Support retail partner social requests as needed
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Maintain and organize all notable social content within Department server

Qualifications

  • BA in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in social media or brand marketing - preferably in beauty
  • Experience building and executing social marketing campaigns and calendars
  • Understands platform best practices and up-to-date design needs/restrictions across social
  • Ability to own campaigns from ideation through launch
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and influence future strategies
  • Passion for beauty industry, hair care and building community
  • Results driven, eager, and can-do positive attitude
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, Word.
  • Self-starter - flexible and able to execute upon multiple projects and against tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Knowledgeable about social media trends and culture
  • Collaborative, open-minded and able to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • A creative storyteller with the ability to create fresh and compelling narratives that help define our brand positioning within the beauty and fashion landscape
