Job description:

The Head of Brand Marketing and Communications is an inspirational, strategic innovator who leverages our brand purpose and mission to identify and develop compelling marketing plans that drive results across the funnel, while creating strong emotional connections with our community. This leader is responsible for defining, creating and executing an integrated marketing strategy to build the brand and deliver on short- and long-term business goals. The Head of Brand Marketing and Communications will oversee a scrappy, high-performing team including Brand, Public Relations, Influencer Marketing, Partnerships, and Promotions.

A successful candidate will be creatively inspired, a natural connector and collaborator, and have strong partnerships with media, press, and influencers. They will have a growth mindset, and know how to leverage partners, and marketing platforms to maximize our brand voice across both existing and new customers.

Above all, this candidate will be an optimistic, proactive, and able to energize a team to develop and deliver programming as engaging and as creative as Hanna Andersson is.

Responsibilities:

  • Key member of Hanna Andersson leadership team, responsible for developing and delivering 360 marketing plans and seasonal campaigns based on customer growth and business goals, leveraging channel and customer insights
  • Initiate and partner with team leads on the strategy for yearly budgets and work to ensure that budget is allocated across Brand, PR, Influencer, Partnerships, & Promotions, aligned to brand goals
  • Partner with VP Digital and Brand Creative Director to influence media content and media outreach plan, ensuring relevancy and consistency across all channels
  • Track competitive performance across key marketing efforts including Influencer Programing, Promotion, and PR
  • Own activation and content calendar across all consumer touchpoints
  • Increase brand presence and voice so that Hanna Andersson is consistently the first and favorite partner for participation in programming opportunities, both editorial and paid
  • Oversee PR Events that align with key Marketing objectives (product collaborations, seasonal launches, key gifting periods including Holiday and Back to School seasons), that consistently reinforce our brand position and product exclusivity
  • Partner with social and affiliate media outlets to strategically seed product using influencers, affiliates and non-affiliate relationships that will be impactful to the business
  • Work with team to create and distribute monthly PR brand recap delivering actionable insights from campaigns, KPIs and impact of coverage and outreach
  • Support CBO in managing brand reputation issues, both reactively and proactively as appropriate. Work with leadership team, customer service, R&D and other partners to assess and respond quickly to both existing and potential threats to business
  • Manage internal and external PR communications around key product launches and seek out press worthy product and stories
  • Oversee annual PR budget
  • Identify key aspirational partners and develop working relationships that support and enhance the brand
  • Lead or enable the coordination and project management for tactical executions including Partnership activations. Manage teams and vendors to ensure proper distribution and execution
  • Manage licensing marketing programs
  • Own the promotional calendar across all marketing functions
  • Ensure promotional cadence supports marketing impression goals, reach goals, and sales objectives
  • Act as key lead with merchants, creative, and digital to ensure promotional offer, messaging, and communication strategy support business goals

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years’ marketing experience, with consistent and exceptional record in delivering from concept stage to go-to-market
  • Experience in PR and influencer marketing
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and can quickly adapt to business needs
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership qualities – ability to take initiative and problem solve
  • Be able to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the company. Be able to effectively communicate priorities and needs to executive audiences
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and channels of the business
  • Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Works well with both business and creative people
  • Calm, thoughtful approach to issues, challenges, and problems with a strong focus on prioritization
