Director of Social Media, One/Size Beauty
JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Social Media has a passion for building a brand’s voice and thrives at storytelling that is amplified efficiently. This leader will be responsible for orchestrating, deploying, and measuring ALL brand content on all One / Size social media platforms, prioritizing the top 3 – TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. They will oversee the strategy and campaigns across all Social Channels and Community Management to increase brand awareness and drive profitability & productivity, to significantly impact our DTC, retailers, and business partners’ sales. They will also be a direct business contributor by driving sales and creating strategists for our omnichannel network. This role is an integral part of this social-first brand. Content will be measured against three main business goals; 1. Education 2. Conversion 3. Awareness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Own and manage OS social and influencer strategy, budget, calendar, and execution of plans. Ability to think big and execute effectively.
● Develop real-time storytelling and capitalize on moments in culture to drive attention to OS.
● Lead our social media strategy to elevate our brand image and support our DTC business and our retail/digital partners – innovate through differentiated content for each social platform and use analytics to support choices.
● Be at the forefront of social trends of channels capabilities and develop an ongoing work
relationship with the corporate teams of the main social channels
● Bring education to life through social, develop an active collaboration with our Founder, in-house content producers, and OSAs / All Starrrs.
● Develop a full-circle strategy to lead community and consumer engagement across all platforms
● Extend strategic and tactical partnerships, activate through social and build a 360 approach behind these partnerships.
● Be budget conscious and analytical to demonstrate the effectiveness of spending.
● Rally cross-functional partners from Brand Management, Creative, Retail, Digital, and DTC around a common vision to ensure thoughtful and strategic activation of ideas.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's degree required, an MBA is a plus
● Passionate about consuming content from every social platform.
● 5+ years of experience in brand communication with a sophisticated understanding of social
channels along with earned and paid tactics
● Ideally has work with a founder lead brand
● Proven record of building consumer brands in social and earned media
● A deep empathy for consumers and strong interest in fashion, culture and trends.
● Experience in beauty is ideal
● Experience building, leading, and managing a team of direct reports, with the ability to drive
multiple projects at once.
● Highly collaborative, with an ability to work well in a cross-functional team
● Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
● Problem solving and entrepreneurial in nature
● Move quickly and feel comfortable having autonomy to lead projects
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Lifting: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction.
- Sitting: Must be able to remain in seated and/or standing, position throughout workday.
