Job title: Social Media Content Researcher
An emerging, pop-culture centered digital content creator is looking for a freelance, remote/WFH researcher.
The researcher will work alongside the content creator to deliver credible research for long-form commentary-focused content that will be presented to an online audience of over 1,000,000.
We are looking for a researcher who:
- Is very in touch with the fast-paced, competitive environment of popular culture and internet trends
- Can critically analyze popular media including music, television, films, books, etc. from both a consumer and journalistic standpoint. Must have string familiarity with YouTube/TikTok/ Reddit, among other social platforms.
- Can return diligent, investigative, detail-oriented work with credible sources. Must also be able to create and keep a list of potential video topics and be able to update it bi-weekly.
- Is receptive and punctual with the deliverables.
- Someone who will, in addition to completing the tasks assigned to them, can offer fresh and creative ideas on what areas of research will be conducive to pushing forward conversations about a particular topic.
Pay: $30-40/hr or a flat rate (to be discussed)
Experience: At least 1 year of prior research experience in the fields of social media influencers/digital content creators/journalism/copywriting or similar.
Education/Qualifications: A degree in content marketing, journalism, communications, or other media/journalism focus is preferred.
