We are a collaborative mid-sized agency with an immediate opportunity for a Culture + Influence Director to join our growing Lifestyle team!

As our Culture + Influence Director on the Lifestyle team, you will have a seat at the table helping guide key clientele on culture strategy. You’ll harness key marketing and business objectives to establish the right brand partnerships, connections and collaborations that move the needle with the consumers who matter most for our clients. Your role will be to help put our clients at the forefront of the cultural zeitgeist, driving relevance, talkability and badge value for our clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead culture strategy across accounts; develop strategic recommendations and sell-in major culture-forward programming
  • Strengthen relations with and bring relevant tastemakers and influencers in to the fold of brands on an programmatic and ad hoc basis
  • Serve as a trusted voice and advisor to clients
  • Dissect client business objectives/goals and craft culture strategies that achieve those goals in a disruptive fashion
  • Develop partnership recommendations + contracts
  • Day-to-day management of collaborations and partnerships
  • ID the future - the trends, people, brands that are relevant and complement the clients and work we do
  • Manage and oversee partner integrations + programs that speak to our brand’s targets and “make noise”
  • Close partnership with Brand PR teams (external) + internal agency team to ensure culture work is set up appropriately to drive the most ROI and stir the most buzz
  • Report on competitive brand and lifestyle trends to clients; demonstrate ability to be nimble and develop one-of-a-kind “ways in” for brands harnessing these trends

What You’ll Bring

  • Solid foundation in public relations – both traditional media and digital
  • Proven ability to lead projects, communicate effectively, think strategically and build of-the-moment and future-forward collaborations that transcend culture
  • Ability to “roll with it” and be nimble when there are changes to pathways and needs to counsel on pivots
  • Experience with tastemaker/influencer ID, negotiation and activation management
  • Ability to counsel and provide ongoing strategic POVs
  • 7-10 years of marketing experience; ideal candidate will have experience brokering brand partnerships + collaborations and leading major talent/influencer initiatives; experience in earned PR is a bonus
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in consumer marketing specifically: traditional public relations, large integrated programming, social strategy, and influencer marketing (paid and organic)
  • Ability to command a room and get stakeholder buy-in from multiple channels
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Openness to travel and evening’s out networking (this is required)
