Marketing Senior Manager (Bottler/Sports Marketing) - West Division

Overview

Reporting to the Director of Marketing (National Programs & Local Properties) – West Division, this position is accountable for leading West Division sports marketing (NBA, NHL, MLB, and MLS) and supporting our Franchise Bottler marketing. More specifically, you will develop locally relevant campaigns and lead consumer experiential activities that will help us win the hearts and minds of consumers. Moreover, you will be responsible for ensuring we have long-term strategies grounded in consumer insights, while also ensuring that our consumer communication breaks-through. As a change leader, influencer, and strong brand marketer, you will be responsible for building a strategic vision, setting the agenda and ensuring strength of our plans to deliver both short-term and long-term results.

This role can sit anywhere in the West Division, preferably in LA or in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities

Sports Marketing

  • Continuously strengthen relationships with West sports properties across NBA, NHL, MLB, and MLS to maximize partnerships and contractual assets
  • Partner with Genesco agency team to fulfill contractual assets and develop programs which drive customer growth, market growth, and brand awareness/relevance
  • Identify opportunities to leverage sports properties to drive customer growth; integrate sports property strategy & programs to AOP and customer JBPs
  • Drive brand relevance through localization of national sports toolkits and execution with each of our properties
  • Leverage Sector strategies/programs to drive efficiencies and effectively localize programming & activations
  • Wire and collaborate with Sector teams to ensure shared learnings and strategic alignment for growth maximization
  • For priority sports properties, develop breakthrough media to shelf programs to drive share and brand love
  • Support XF team in leveraging sports property hospitality
  • Proactively communicate sports marketing programming with Market Teams
  • Partner with insights to develop holistic learning agenda to gain a deeper understanding of our consumers
  • Identify ways of working with Senior Manager Gatorade Marketing – West Division and Gatorade Sector team to strengthen our West Division sports strategy via Gatorade sports property integration
  • Monitor campaign performance to proactively identify course corrections and/or new opportunities
  • Effectively manage A&M budget

Franchise Bottler Support

  • Communicate priority market programs to Franchise Development Directors/Managers (FDD & FDM) and Bottler partners
  • Leverage Sector strategies/programs to drive efficiencies and effectively localize programming & activations
  • Effectively manage co-op A&M and co-op media budgets in partnership with the FDD/FDM and Bottlers
  • Wire and collaborate with Sector teams to ensure shared learnings and strategic alignment for growth maximization

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $100,500 - $ 168,150 based on a full-time schedule
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications

  • Previous Marketing experience (previous CPG experience preferred)
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated expertise in the Marketing function
  • Ability to coach & develop world class talent
  • Track record of delivering results & ability to manage a portfolio/ make strategic choices to maximize impact
  • Project management, prioritization skills & ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of development
  • Solid strategic and execution skills with a track record of delivering strong growth results
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently – high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Exceptional project & time management skills
  • Strong execution, communication & strategic thinking skills
  • Strong and effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop & cultivate relationships; build consensus & influence business partners
  • Ability to anticipate issues and resolve them based on sound business judgment
