This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary

The Social Media Community Specialist is responsible for fostering, growing and elevating our social communities across all brand channels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and travel, and be able to develop engagement campaigns, lead Surprise & Delight initiatives, jump on cultural/trending moments, and optimize daily engagement opportunities on an ongoing basis. In addition, this role will be responsible for ensuring our overall social voice & tone and brand values are reflected across all engagement plays, and ensure alignment with our Social Care counterparts.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Constantly monitors social media platforms to identify and execute engagement opportunities
  • Provides frequent insight on current social media trends and drivers to ensure cultural relevancy and optimization
  • Identify and execute optimal engagements opportunites with users, including brand personalities, social influencers, celebrities and other high-profile social users/brands across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Conceptualizes and pitches new social engagment campaigns to keep social media channels fresh, trendy and interesting, and in alignment with the team’s social media strategy and brand values
  • Identifies ways we can leverage influencer and brand partnerships to broaden engagements campaigns and extend our reach
  • Identifies purpose-led social campaigns and opportunities for the social team to have real life positive impact on communities
  • Responsible for communicating social engagement campaigns to international teams for collaborative or alignment purposes
  • Responsible for developing strategies to encourage user-generated content amongst our sailing guests and resharing that content across our social channels
  • Responsible for creating and executing Surprise & Delight initiatives that align with our brand values and will have a positive impact to our social communities
  • Develops and successfully executes giveaways (i.e. cruises, swag items, onboard experiences, etc.) in partnership with our legal team to ensure FTC compliance
  • Utilizes social listening tools, like Lithium and Brandwatch, to monitor social media platforms and generate insights and trends
  • Review and respond to user generated comments, posts and content in a quick and timely manner
  • Engage with comments, when appropriate, in order to foster a positive community and elevate 1:1 consumer interactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Social Media Marketing-related preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of professional social media or industry-related experience required
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Additional languages preferred

Knowledge And Skills

  • Actively participates in and has an understanding of popular social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instgram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
  • Experience with social listening tools such as Khoros, Lithium, Curalate, Brandwatch, Social Bakers, etc.
  • Knowlegde of social brand tones/voice and its impact on global corportations.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation deck-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Physical Demands

While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a computer, communicate, listen, and assess information. The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull or move 10 to 15 pounds. Visual requirement includes distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Role may occasionally require travel and the flexibitly to work remotely (shipboard, other office locations, etc). However, the role’s work environment will primarily consist of working inside the corporate office located in Miami, Florida.
