Kenvue, part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is recruiting for a Brand Lead, Neutrogena ® and Clean & Clear®, reporting into the Vice President Marketing & Site General Manager, Skin Health West and located in Los Angeles, CA!

The Brand Lead, Neutrogena® and Clean & Clear® is a strategic leadership role within the broader Johnson & Johnson U.S. Consumer Health organization and will represent that role on a team that contributes to a broader portfolio of brands at Skin Health - Neutrogena®, Clean & Clear®, Aveeno®, Lubriderm®, OGX®, Maui Moisture®, and Rogaine®.

He/she/they will be responsible for development of local Megabrand equity strategies, which includes point of difference, brand expression, brand purpose, and social responsibility (sustainability, inclusivity) Neutrogena® and Clean & Clear® . He/she/they will also be responsible for megabrand brand partnerships, licensing, philanthropy, and total brand commercial events (online and offline).

Strategic Planning

The main responsibilities of this position include:

  • Establish activation strategies in alignment with overall global equity strategies to enable business strategies/solutions/capabilities to achieve business goals.
  • Connect across category teams to ensure a total brand view and presence.
  • Connective tissue of Brand Long term strategic planning.
  • Support total brand growth plans and conduct overall brand health tracking and performance.
  • Partner with Global Strategy team to create access and visibility to lead market execution, and serve as market liaison to Skin Health adapt markets.

Brand Development

  • Lead strategic initiatives such as sustainability, ingredient resiliency, social responsibility.
  • Activation strategies for brand point of different, brand expression, brand purpose, external collaborations.
  • Megabrand equity/communications development, including big idea and campaign development, and partner with Consumer Growth team for deployment.
  • Lead celebrity a big influencer strategy, in accordance to brand equity.
  • Drive brand partnerships, brand licensing, philanthropy and commercial events (online/offline.)
  • Leverage real-time data (sales, social listening, VOC) to monitor competitive environment & identify new opportunities.

Talent & Culture Management

  • Establish a Credo based culture of speed, agility & continuous experimentation within the cross-functional franchise team.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, feedback, and where appropriate, discipline to and through subordinate team members.
  • Build a high performing team of direct & indirect reports, including recruitment, development and retention of critical talent.
  • Influence and navigate through matrix environment to clear organizational obstacles, support team objectives & develop pipeline of future leaders.

Job Function

Marketing

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or equivalent degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive business and/or marketing experience is required.
  • Coaching/mentoring skills to develop marketers is required. Experience working with R&D, GSI, Creative Agencies, Finance, Sales, & Project Management is required.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; proven track record in managing P&Ls, financials and budgets is required.
  • Demonstrated track record and marketing leadership, including advertising, new products and business plan development, is required.
  • Strong collaboration & communication skills are required.
  • Navigating ambiguity & complexity to drive outcomes by being comfortable with risk is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior management to impact decision-making is required.
  • Servant leadership by demonstrating the ability to relinquish responsibility and allowing authority to come from all angles are required.
  • Track record in identifying winning consumer insights, growth opportunities & priorities and influencing alignment to execute against strategic growth plan is required.
  • The ability to think analytically and strategically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues is required.
  • Beauty experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with Legal, Regulatory and Global partners is preferred.
  • This position requires up to approximately 20% domestic travel.
