Position

Job Title: Project Manager, Business Development P&C

Job Purpose

The Project Manager will support the business unit in developing and implementing new business strategies for La Collection Privée for Dior Americas. The Project Manager will be the primary liaison between CDC Corporate, CDC Retail, and PCD to ensure the success of La Collection Privée in our network.

Profile

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead transition of LCP from central model to locally managed model with PCD.
  • Lead partnership across cross-functional teams on execution of commercial strategy, inventory management & data sharing, PR, education, events, media, and detail rollout
  • Define the optimal concept and product offering for the American market by offering key local insights and competitive analysis/examples
  • Spearhead all procedures, forms, analyses, and reports critical to the execution of the marketing and retail plans
  • Forecast quantities and take a proactive approach to lead accurate inventory of saleable line items, minimizing out-of-stocks and inventory excess. Develop and maintain yearly sales planning across all channels of La Collection Privée to ensure alignment with targets.
  • Ensure testers and merchandising units are forecasted according to consumer driver and to budget to ensure maximum efficiency. Support Retail network orders for non-saleable goods (samples, testers, blotters, etc.).
  • Take lead of new business-related projects and ensure execution and final delivery of project product (Pop-ups/ pop-ins, product launches, and marketing events)
  • Execute full 360-launch plans including budget, merchandising, sampling, and any channel and store specific adaptations
  • Research and Analysis: Complete analyses that inform business decisions (e.g., segmentation, return on investment/customer growth, conversion and profitability)

Additional information

  • Build and revise annual budgets for spending. Reconcile actual monthly spend vs. budget to make sure spending is on target.
  • Provide strategic input, gain P&L exposure, and complete activities (e.g., cross-category research, retail analysis, marketing research) in support of tactical plans to improve business performance for La Collection Privee.
  • Network competition benchmarking: keep track of competition network, evolution and performance including Dept Store Opportunities
  • E-commerce: partner with digital team to improve platform and client experience, implement new guidelines from Paris
  • Management of Existing Network / Architecture: Keep updated database of existing stores: photos, floor plan, sq footage data. Minor work/retrofit planning and follow-up. Productivity reporting
  • Ensure VM follow up on animations, updates (new props, background, external windows...).
  • CRM focus / Client data: partner with CRM to provide monthly tracker update and ad-hoc analysis to support business, as well as pushes to better integrate Baby & Maison into clienteling initiatives, build client journey into the category and corresponding actions
  • Develop and implement business reviews for senior management to present business strategies and developments

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of marketing experience in the beauty industry working with product development teams abroad
  • Strong analytical skills, oral and written presentation skills, and excellent computer skills, including Excel (e.g. Macros, V-lookups, pivot tables, sum Ifs, page protection, etc.)
  • Highly analytical with strong forecasting and budget experience
  • Exhibit a keen ability to be proactive as well as handle a multitude of projects at one time
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and consensus-building skills.
  • Strength of character to lead a range of stakeholders across all management levels
  • Highly organized and detailed-oriented
  • Strategic thinker, an “influencer”, a consensus builder, and excellent team player
  • Highly agile and able to navigate ambiguity by being resourceful and a problem solver.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Ability to accurately distinguish which issues, dependencies, and risks are critical, demonstrate flexibility when prioritizing those issues. Sense of urgency is critical.
  • Self- starter, ability to take initiatives, ownership, and accountability for their work.
  • Superior analytical capabilities with large quantities of data

The role will be offered an annual salary within the range of $95,000 - $115,000, plus opportunity for bonus, eligibility to participate in the Company's comprehensive benefits plans, along with additional employees discounts and perks.
