Job description:

Citizen Relations has an immediate opening for a VP, Practice area leader in influencer marketing. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, this dynamic leader will help forge a new breed of influencer marketing, developing both a high-touch, bespoke modern collaborations model of influencer work that is heavily web3 forward, while helping to evolve, automate and improve a media-buying approach to volume-based influencer marketing.

The VP, Influencer Practice Lead should have strong mastery of global influencer marketing trends, ability to think creatively AND analytically, and manage/grow a rapidly evolving team/COE.

Overview

Leadership strengths:

  • This role requires a strong, visionary point of view and ability to convey this through thought-leadership, credentials, pitches and directly with client teams.
  • Seeking a strong leader who is capable of building magnetism for the team, handling a wide variety of leadership roles and supporting the development of our growing digital team
  • The practice leader must have strong team management, training and mentorship skills, with the ability to build both direct reports and dotted line managers/Juniors who work primarily on earned media.

Skills and experience:

  • A key part of this role is to galvanize our tech stack in service of building efficiencies and efficacies in influencer work. Candidates must have strong familiarity with influencer management platforms (Tagger preferred) a high propensity for automation and in-depth knowledge of influencer analytics/reporting and measurement strategies.
  • The role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, relationships with influencers and ability to track and leverage social media trends, platform shifts, and paid media.
  • Ability to develop creative, culturally relevant ideas that excite clients and teams, and drive results.
  • Ability and expertise in content effectiveness measures, helping teams orchestrate the most effective approaches to influencer selection, negotiation, management and results.

Qualifications:

  • Seeking 10-15 years of overall experience in influencer/social/marketing
  • Previous experience at an advertising, influencer, media, or PR agency
  • Ability to bridge the gap between earned and paid within the influencer landscape.
  • Deep analytical understanding of influencer metrics.
  • Gravitas and savvy to counsel senior-level client executives.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/accounts, manage staff and client relationships and deliver results.
  • Proven track record of excellent client counseling, including strategic thinking, verbal and writing skills.
