The Director of Inbound Marketing will contribute to helping Element451 double revenue (yet again) in 2023 by executing a comprehensive content marketing strategy to drive website traffic, generate leads, and increase sales. Element451’s total addressable market (TAM) is roughly 6500 institutions. You’ll focus on building a consistent pipeline through the inbound funnel that converts to new business meetings. This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing and Demand Generation in the Revenue department, which also comprises teams in Demand Generation and Sales.

You’ll lead and manage a content marketing team to develop marketing campaigns and assets, including: developing on-brand concepts, overseeing the production of digital-first content marketing, and working closely with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and lead generation.

The Director of Inbound Marketing is responsible for staying up-to-date on industry trends and ensuring that the company's creative output is on-brand and effective in reaching its target audience. This position requires a combination of creative skills, marketing experience, and leadership abilities.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Own top of funnel inbound marketing KPIs
  • Lead content development from concept to copywriting to bring Element451’s brand voice to life. Speak directly to our target customer addressing their needs, inspiring them and moving them to action
  • Manage a team of four – two designers and two writers – to maximize the talents of every individual, set expectations, and ensure accountability
  • Create and manage a content marketing calendar that supports inbound marketing strategy and generates demand
  • Optimize digital channels for SEO, lead generation, and conversion.
  • Analyze and optimize campaigns to improve performance and report results to the leadership team
  • Collaborate with other departments such as product development, demand gen, sales, and customer success to ensure that marketing campaigns are consistent with the overall business strategy
  • Evaluate trends, assess new data, and stay abreast of new techniques and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • A creative and inspiring marketer experienced in deploying high converting, on-brand, digital-first campaigns
  • 5-10 years of relevant, demonstrable experience in inbound and content marketing, preferably working in a swiftly-growing SaaS company
  • Exceptional motivator and collaborator
  • Able to prioritize work and resources, super organized with high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a “get it done” mentality
  • A Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or MS in Integrated Marketing Communications a plus
  • Experience with the following tools: marketing automation (HubSpot preferred), website analytics (Google analytics), and social analytics
  • Bonus: knowledge of higher education marketing and enrollment challenges and trends
