Curio is a start up but will leverage Munchkin’s innovation, supply chain and brand design capabilities with an initial direct to consumer (DTC) launch.
What You’ll Do
With bold and innovative design, Curio is a new premium home goods brand launching early 2023 that will appeal to discerning interior enthusiasts who thrive on discovering new designs and appreciate form, function, and fashion. Curio is looking for a dynamic Brand Marketing Manager to join the inaugural team of a new direct-to-consumer home and lifestyle brand. Reporting to the VP of Curio, the Brand Marketing Manager will have a critical role within a small, entrepreneurial team to drive growth and success for a startup brand.
The Brand Marketing Manager will develop, plan, and lead new brand and product marketing initiatives to achieve ambitious growth targets and overall profitability. Specific responsibilities include product pricing and positioning, brand partnerships, off-line marketing campaigns, influencer and affiliate programs, and customer community engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Curio marketing as a business owner by developing strategies to generate awareness, increase market share, drive top-line revenue growth and create shareholder value
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans, including developing innovative campaign concepts, creative marketing content, test and learn approaches, and measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive effective product development, social media engagement, public relations, influencer engagement, fulfillment, and customer service
- Lead new home goods product launches from conception through execution (pricing, positioning, packaging, forecasting, etc.)
- Understand consumer behavior and drivers by measuring key customer metrics (e.g., lifetime value, net promoter score), conducting informal market research, reading consumer reviews, and monitoring feedback on products in social media and customer service engagements
- Have a strong understanding of the competitive home goods and DTC landscape and be acutely aware of new product launches, changes in competition, and anticipate market shifts
- Prepare marketing performance reports and present with confidence to executive management

- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, MBA degree is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years marketing experience, direct to consumer brand or home goods experience highly preferred
- Experienced brand builder with a proven track record of developing and leading campaigns to create awareness, acquire customers, and grow sales
- Must be creative, resourceful, and decisive with strong problem-solving and team/consensus building skills, able to manage multiple projects, meet/exceed deadlines and expectations, and adjust quickly and effectively to change
- Open-minded thinker that draws inspiration from inside and outside the category to develop truly unique propositions
- Clear and consistent communicator that is able to influence at both the peer and senior level
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with the flexibility to accommodate demanding projects schedules
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills and proven ability to foster a cooperative, results-driven work environment

Salary range: $130,000 - $145,000 annually
