U.S. Data Security (“USDS”) is a standalone department of TikTok in the U.S. This new security-first division was created to bring heightened focus and governance to our data protection policies and content assurance protocols to keep U.S. users safe. Our focus is on providing oversight and protection of the TikTok platform and user data in the U.S., so millions of Americans can continue turning to TikTok to learn something new, earn a living, express themselves creatively, or be entertained. The teams within USDS that deliver on this commitment daily span Trust & Safety, Security & Privacy, Engineering, User & Product Ops, Corporate Functions and more.
Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring Creator and Content performance dashboards and key metrics to diagnose and solve problems across the Creator and Content lifecycle.
- Investigate sensitive and critical escalations, review and enforce our strategies and TikTok Shop policies, taking into account our rules, business impact, and local market conditions.
- Manage incoming queries about policies, and work with cross functional teams to handle Creator appeals.
- Localize policies and strategies to take into account local country nuances. Convert policies into implementable rules and SOPs that can support at-scale enforcement, e.g. by automation, moderators, customer service agents, etc.
- Work directly with Strategy and Policy Implementation Managers to conduct root cause analyses on problematic trends/escalations, document findings, and make suggestions for policy/strategy improvements.
- Gather and analyze data and trends to recommend policy, process, and product improvements.
- Conduct research on Creator and Content policies, from hypothesis generation, gathering and analyzing large datasets to draw out key insights.
- As a country advocate, you will identify country, language and cultural insights and work with teams to recommend policy and strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- 3+ years of hands-on and in-depth experience in e-commerce governance and implementation, online operations and escalation environment, social media operations, and/or research.
- Strong ability to analyze, manipulate, and identify insights from quantitative and qualitative data. Data interpretation is required in this role. Experience with analytical tools (like Excel or SQL) is a plus.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Experience managing projects and coordinating with different cross-functional regional partners.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully with ambiguity, with multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing environment.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $124640 - $287280 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
