Compensation: $40,000 to $65,000 Annually

The Social Media Coordinator will focus on supporting all of Benefit’s owned social channels. They will serve as community moderator and publisher for most social platforms. They will work closely with the Social Media Manager to conceptualize & publish weekly content using social media best practices, analytics & campaign/brand priorities. They will support our live shopping program and be responsible for promotion plan and backend set-up. In addition, this person will support the social team in conceptualizing and executing content as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Community Management & Moderation
  • Excel as the brand's community manager, responding to and engaging fans in conversation on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube & TikTok; help grow Benefit’s social audiences & engagement.
  • Act as the customer service point person for all social channels, responding to & fielding concerns
  • Social Media
  • Manage all social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok & Pinterest) from brainstorming to content creation to publishing
  • Coordinate social takeovers both internally and externally in partnership with the Influencer Team
  • Support social media plans for retail & brand/digital campaigns
  • Work with Social Media Manager to populate social media analytics & campaign dashboards; compile weekly insight reports

  • Assist in coordination of social assets in partnership with Creative Teams
  • Assist in coordination & execution of social content with particular focus on TikTok and Instagram Reels; must be comfortable being on camera and familiar with in app editing

Requirements

  • 2+ years previous experience in social media for a brand or agency
  • Experienced in social channels such as TikTok, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube platforms
  • Passionate user of social media & digital technologies; knowledge of social media best practices (hashtags, tracked links, in app content editing techniques etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Intuitive grasp of the Benefit customer and a drive to impact and satisfy consumers
  • Strong organization skills; self-directed and works effectively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Google Docs, basic HTML or CSS familiarity, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop)
  • Knowledge of analytics platforms like Social Bakers & YouTube Analytics a plus
  • Knowledge of social media publishing platforms (TweetDeck, Planoly etc.)

The target salary range for this position is $40,000 - $65,000. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
