That's why we're looking for a Temporary Social Media Manager to help scale ShopStyle Collective’s organic channels by telling our brand story strategically, thoughtfully, and visually! This is a Part-time role.
The Social Media Manager is responsible for growing and amplifying all our brand marketing efforts, and will help us achieve our brand goals by partnering closely with the Brand Marketing Director and the Brand Team to refine our content strategy and execution. This role will require you to think expansively about brand campaigns, creator engagement, press, events, partnerships, and continually evolving the brand identity to grow our overall relevance, positioning, and market share through social.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social Media Strategy:
- Spearhead social media strategy while being a trusted partner to the Brand Marketing Director as the team evolves our social strategy, messaging, content approach, syndication and continually assess effectiveness and the impact of our efforts
- Be an evangelist, ensuring that all brand elements (colors, visuals etc) are consistently infused into all organic social channels
- Content Creation and Syndication:
- Be a strategic visual storyteller that deeply considers our business needs, and create content to build brand awareness, foster creator engagement, and promote thought leadership
- Support and experiment with new content series based on data, insights, and trends; continuously refining our approach and learning to keep us culturally relevant
- Be the proud owner of a planned content calendar with established posting cadence and point of view
- Community Engagement:
- Develop innovative initiatives that showcase our brand as an industry leader and orchestrate brand-led tentpole activations
- Entice and motivate creators to co-create content and participate in social activations
- Build systems, documentation, and processes to scale community management efficiencies and deliverables
- Reporting and Research:
- Monitor, measure, and report on relevant brand efforts across social media to help inform future strategies
- Be proactive and dive deeply into our social media data and analytics to continually optimize content based on performance
- Spreadhead research of competitors, and keep up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and the newest, smartest strategies for growth and engagement
- Cross functional collaboration:
- Lead brainstorm sessions to ensure world class content creation and execution
- Partner with the Growth Marketing, Data & Insights, Business Development, Creator Managementvteam to ensure all business needs are met via various social media channels
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
The Social Media Manager must be able to confidently perform each of their essential duties. The requirements listed below are representative of the necessary knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. - You are a compelling storyteller with a strong understanding of on-brand visual aesthetics
- You are data-driven, and are equally comfortable leveraging insights as you are using intuition to create content
- You are well versed in the A-Z of content creation and have a good understanding of how to strategically adjust content for different audiences.
- You are interested in influencer marketing, an avid consumer of digital content, and have a proven record of high-quality content creation (especially in short form, long form, live video)
- You are a brand-centric social media marketer and creative who advocates customer-first thinking and can encourage team members to explore new, innovative ways of communicating with our audience
- You can "connect the dots" of our business with compelling visuals, playful language, and enticing new story angles that inspire our creators
- You can think on your feet as unexpected challenges may arise in real time
- You have previously managed various social media channels (IG, Tiktok, LinkedIn etc) and fostered community engagement
- You are a self-starter and creative problem solver
- You have strong project management skills with a keen eye for detail
- You bring a positive attitude to any challenge
Qualification Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in social media marketing
- Bachelor's degree required
