Throughout the Boston Celtics’ storied history, they have long stood for equality and respect, including drafting the first African American player, hiring the first African American coach, and playing the first all-black starting five. The Celtics have won a record 17 NBA Championships spanning five (5) decades, including eight (8) in a row from 1959-1966, and winning their most recent in 2008. In addition, forty-one (41) former Celtics players, management, coaches, or staff have been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In December 2002 the team returned to local ownership for the first time since 1963.

The ideal candidate will have experience in social media and knowledge of topics that intersect with basketball – music, pop culture, fashion. As a key player on the marketing team, you will have the opportunity to create and drive the Celtics’ brand to new heights. This role will report to the Senior Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of marketing strategies across all verticals
- Partner closely with the social media team to assist with their channels as needed
- Own updating the Marketing Calendar via Monday.com
- Build recaps after marketing tentpole moments to evaluate results
- Manage athlete and partner content folders
- Assist with coordination of marketing events and other fan-engagement activities
- Execute VIP/influencer-specific logistics as needed
- Conduct industry and league research to keep up with trends and best practices
- Liaise with vendors and other external entities as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and related experience
- Two years working in sports marketing and/or brand agency
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Digital Platforms
- Extremely driven and organized
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a forward-looking growth mindset and demonstrate a passion for exploring innovative solutions
