Within the greater Global Creative Lab Team, Creative Lab Studios produces business entertainment that inspires TikTok-first thinking and services the different Global Marketing teams. The studio is comprised of world-class designers and production experts, dedicated to showing our agency partners and clients how best to show up on TikTok. We have a passion for, and deep knowledge of TikTok as a platform, and are full of ideas that will help propel the platform into the future.

Overview:
Creative Lab Studios' Experiential Lead will provide holistic creative leadership and conceptual oversight across TikTok's presence at all B2B events. As a key partner to TikTok's Business Marketing Units, this role will be responsible for ensuring creativity and joy are central to everything we make and put out into the industry ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned and forward-thinking leader with proven experience bringing brand strategy & product initiatives to life through live events and experiential activations.

We're looking for someone with a strong vision for what makes a truly spectacular event, with the ability to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. In addition to creative expertise, they have a deep understanding of the B2B events landscape as a whole, and extensive knowledge of major tentpoles and industry events like CES, AdWeek, Cannes Lions, SxSW, and Newfronts. Additionally, this role will be responsible for identifying existing (and up-and-coming) agencies on the forefront of innovation and creativity. They know how to pinpoint the most forward-thinking agencies to partner with TikTok, and align the agencies with our goals to deliver exceptional work. They are also passionate about concepting their own creative ideas & identifying opportunities to utilize those ideas and drive the business forward.

This position will oversee event execution by agencies and a team of dedicated in-house event professionals, and will function as an instrumental partner to the Head of Events, Head of Studio and Sr. Strategic Operations Director in finding creative efficiencies within the greater team, and growing and evolving the studio to fit the needs of the business.

This position reports to the Sr. Strategic Operations Director

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creative oversight across all events, ensuring messaging objectives and event goals are reached through creative activations & live production
- Strategize & prioritize projects and initiatives (with Head of Studio) based on studio capacity and the needs of the business
- Streamline creative collaboration with designers and video producers within the studio, along with agency partners
- Craft new ways to scale our work and creative thinking to the industry
- Serve as the expert creative voice in communication with cross functional partners regarding event-specific projects and initiatives
- Deliver best in class creative ideas in partnership with global and regional teams
- Work closely with business marketing teams to translate their large-scale messaging needs into great creative experiences
- Function as a keen operator, ensuring goals, objectives and deliverables are met by the teams, in relation to the greater business
- Demonstrate creative and innovative thought leadership, keeping ahead of trends and providing proactive inspiration and recommendations
- Create and foster a strong creative culture with a focus on the growth and development of the event staff on the team
- Select and manage potential external vendors and agencies that provide specializations that go outside the core competencies of the in-house team

Qualifications

Qualifications:
- 12+ years relevant events experience, with 6+ years driving creative ideation for global teams/clients preferred
- Experience within a top tier creative agency, brand creative group or a strategy role within a technology company
- In depth understanding of TikTok as a platform and what makes content successful
- Strong grasp on culture, with a keen understanding of what is relevant and an eye for upcoming events and activation trends
- Expert written and verbal communicator, with the ability to articulate abstract creative concepts
- Ability to stay organized and lead multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines
- Demonstrated capacity to cultivate strong relationships within the organization
- Inspirational leadership abilities with proven track record of developing talent

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $96800 - $227200 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
