Freelance Brand Marketer
Hours + Rate: 10-15 hours/week, $50-$85/hour pending experience.
Dr. Whitney Bowe Beauty is a new skincare line (launched June 2022) created by Dr. Whitney Bowe renowned, board-certified dermatologist and creator of the viral #SkinCycling program. With a capped medical practice and a community of more than 1 million followers across social, Dr. Bowe has built an engaged off-and online community of skincare enthusiasts. Today with DWB Beauty, we cater to that community and beyond—creating high-performance, clinically-proven skincare that delivers results you can see and feel.
We are looking for a talented freelance marketer to support our omni-channel marketing efforts. This person will support brand, campaign / integrated, CRM, influencer, e-commerce, and product marketing projects. The role requires a background in skincare marketing, strong copywriting skills, and experience in the DTC beauty industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to help build a buzzy, rapidly growing skincare brand that has a deep commitment to science and education. Reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing, this position is 10-15 hours/week, remote, and freelance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write copy for new products, web pages, emails, and print collateral
- Help to ideate and execute 360 marketing campaigns for product launches and other key marketing moments—brainstorm messaging, build project timelines and decks, organize campaign materials, etc.
- Gather and compile weekly and monthly data insights to help the team learn from, and iterate on marketing initiatives quickly
- Research, help identify, and facilitate strategic brand partnership
- Manage bi-weekly skincare blog
- Support Social, Influencer, and PR as needed with content ideation, brief building, partner vetting, and product research
- Research market trends, pop culture, and the content landscape to fuel team creativity and innovation
Qualifications:
- 3-6+ years of DTC skincare marketing experience
- Has helped launched new products before—familiarity with the GTM process, and the key marketing levers involved
- Strong writing skills—can balance brand storytelling with product marketing
- Trained in FDA-compliant copywriting
- You get social media and use the key apps frequently
- Project management experience
- Quick learner
- Background in PR, brand strategy, and / or design is a plus
- Experience working in or with a startup is a plus
