We're Hiring! The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley is looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager. Candidates with a passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons.

BASIC PURPOSE: This position supports the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley Director of Sales & Marketing for media relations, internal and external PR and marketing campaigns, social and reputation media alignment, and all digital marketing strategies and tactical requirements. Develop, generate and execute awareness of resort and residences through print, web, and mobile presence, including social media channels and proprietary websites.

There is a $1,000 Signing Bonus! $500 upon hire and $500 at your 90 days!

Essential Funtions

Business Development and Prospecting:

  • Website Development and Accuracy on mobile, desktop, and tablet platforms
  • Maintains all current website content consistent with company and property DNA standards o Visionary for photography, video, content and website copy
  • Evolution of the website to support all FSH&R and local campaigns to grow web engagement, optimization, and conversions, as well as direct bookings o Monitors all landing pages and executes accuracy of campaigns timeline
  • Cross-links content to other FS.COM opportunities and brings links to FS.COM/napavalley wherever possible
  • Maintains and supports Center for Health & Wellbeing website and integrative opportunities to offer online customers seamless integration between sites and offerings
  • Responsible for updating photography in image library, builds micro-sites for seasonal campaigns, updates copy and approved content
  • Brings user-generated content to the forefront as trusting and support to web bookings
  • Supports the Marketing Director with digital marketing campaigns including PPC, organic search, social media ads, keywords, and press mentions
  • Owner of Reputation sites, photography and content, as well as maintains accuracy of pace in response and follow-up for positive and negative reviews
  • Primary on engagement and follow-up and can be creative to use guest feedback to create new content for hotel engagement opportunities o Assures all sites are up to date and optimized for reputation performance o Leads hotel operating teams to engage, train, and fulfill defined obligations of growth in reputation audience size and engagement consistent with hotel goals
  • Assists Director of Sales & Marketing on social media content and engagement strategy for Hotel marketing campaigns.
  • Reviews bi-weekly content, copy, and imagery consistent with FSH&R and hotel goals and guidelines on a daily basis.
  • Monitors social influencer activations and innovates ways to amuse and delight, as well as share and repurpose
  • Insures consistent content with the 3C’s (character, connection, craftsmanship) for postings, as well as fair distribution for campaigns, climate, and season
  • Focused on increasing audience size and social engagement rate annually (18% or more) and targets ‘best in class’ examples submissions with corporate DNA marketing team
  • Produces and submits monthly social media reporting document(s) that audits social media content vendor’s performance
  • Curates responses for social media engagement response and within one business day
  • Remains up-to-date on new social media platform launches, new features of current platforms, industry trends, and best practices
  • Content designer and copy writer for hotel’s monthly e-newsletter, as well as facilitates the timely distribution to the appropriate audience
  • Protects and manages the Local Mailing List Manager (LMLM) database for authorized purposes only
  • Targets campaigns in organized fashion to grow LMLM lists and organizes database to best micro-target audience where purposeful in hotel’s campaigns
  • Responsible for organizing and growing the local mailing list each year and how this audience responds in actions to the hotel’s offerings

Secondary Functions

  • In-house collateral
  • Orchestrates the on-site graphic design for approved lobby, elevator, in-room, and other public area signs, print flyers, seasonal check stuffers, and other promotional needs for in-house campaigns for Hotel, Wellness, Spa, F&B outlets, special events, and other intermittent requests
  • Maintains on-site inventory of collateral o Manages property and stock image library for press, social media, and marketing
  • Answers public relations and marketing phone lines and filters and fields appropriate interest
  • Supports the Public Relations Director in media relations, events, curating stories to meet brand guidelines, and curating the media visits and experiences
  • Organizes and supports photo and video shoots for hotel
  • Assists in creating content calendar for PR opportunities aligned with local and regional press
  • Acquire editorial calendars from key publications and trace for follow-up
  • Coached to help develop pitches for specific media outlets and/or campaigns
  • Supports the Marketing Director in the execution of hotel’s integrated marketing plan
  • Participates in the Spa & Wellness divisional weekly meeting and helps orchestrate meeting minutes and action steps for each member
  • Participates in the weekly F&B innovation surrounding marketing and PR newsworthy story
  • Aids in the submission of content to Corporate Communications channels (PS Weekly, Four Seasons Magazine print and online, etc.)
  • Assists as needed in coordinating and planning photo shoots and filming in the hotel
  • Create presentation materials for marketing and budget presentations, internal meetings, as well as owners meetings
  • Conduct and coordinate Hotel tours as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • College Degree – 4 years, or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required.

Skills And Abilities

  • Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
  • Be a team member and assist as needed within department or hotel.
  • Communicate industry trends or market data as needed to better understand our marketplace and business.
  • Have a strong attention to detail, monitor quality and be obsessively service oriented.
  • Respond to hotel safety or emergency situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle demanding situations and guests.
  • Highly proactive behavior and time management skills
  • Resourceful and creative to quickly capture the scope and direction of projects and can facilitate the execution of such goals in a timely manner without constant supervision
  • Maintains professional behavior and decorum in alignment with corporate and property culture and goals
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office products and others
  • Graphic design skills preferred but not required
