StreetEasy, the most beloved and most used real estate products in New York City is looking for a creative and driven Social Media Specialist to continue to build our brand presence across our social and content channels. The position will provide autonomy, room for growth and plenty of cross-channel, creative collaboration in our mission to continue building a vibrant home marketplace that is indispensable to New Yorkers.

As a member of the Integrated Marketing Team, you’ll have input on all aspects of the social and brand marketing initiatives of StreetEasy, as well as the opportunity to truly be an owner of our social channels. As Social Media Specialist, you’ll be responsible for developing original content, managing freelancers, engaging and growing our social audience, and helping share StreetEasy’s enthusiasm for helping New Yorkers and our agent partners buy, sell or rent with the Zillow Brand built for NYC.

About The Role

  • Own the StreetEasy and, including publishing and reporting on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook. Deliver on our brand voice through witty captions that make people want to engage and click.
  • Coordinate and partner with real estate agents to set-up production shoots of listings. Attend and capture content as needed in partnership with Freelance Content Producer.
  • Crafting content that educates New Yorkers on all the ways StreetEasy can help them in their search, no matter if they’re a buyer, renter or seller. Particularly for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
  • Monitor, track and analyze performance results for monthly reports and marketing campaign recaps to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Work cross-functionally with product support, content, design, paid marketing, and comms teams on a variety of initiatives and projects to build the reputation of StreetEasy as the leading real estate resources in NYC.
  • Write on-brand, channel-specific, and engaging copy for digital advertising, including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram
  • Connect and engage with our community through social media channels
  • Support Sr. Brand Marketing Manager on execution of Influencer Marketing as needed.
  • Partner with Brand Marketing team to ensure social is an active part of all campaigns. Understand how to use our social channels to help us achieve maximum access to our Integrated Marketing campaigns and goals.
  • Maintain Out East Instagram posting cadence and social oversight (2-3 static posts per week).

This role has been categorized as a Hybrid position. “Hybrid” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 10 to 80 percent of their time each month, and the rest of the time they may work from a remote physical location of their choice within a reasonable commuting distance from the corporate office which must be identified to the Company in advance. The Recruiter and Hiring Manager will set expectations on the employee’s preferred time in office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $59,300.00 - $94,700.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Background: 3-5 years of social media, brand marketing, or community management experience working on a consumer-facing brand.
  • Toolkit: Familiarity or experience with Wordpress, Sprout Google Analytics, as well as Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Instagram Analytics is preferred. Solid understanding of InDesign and Photoshop is desired.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Social First: You appreciate a well-executed campaign whether it’s online or offline. You are an enthusiastic idea person that’s never short of inspiration, and is excited to move fast and think big.
