Live Content Creator
Description:
The American Association is seeking a Live Content Creator in each of our 12 markets to capture and create gameday content that will be used in live social media coverage of games.
At the American Association, we are striving to build an exceptional brand of baseball that will stand the test of time and continuously make a positive impact on our communities. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, driven to advance their career in live sports content creation.
A unique aspect of this program is that each team in the American Association of Professional Baseball will have someone in this role, so you’ll be able to collaborate with a cohort of like-minded creators across 12 markets in North America.

Responsibilities:
Video
- Capture video to give fans an inside look at the level of our on-field play and experience they can get in a stadium as a fan.
Photo
- This is secondary to video content. When applicable, take photos of fans and players in action.
Other
- Upload, label, and categorize content in the league’s centralized digital asset storage platform.
- If interested, make fully produced short-form video clips or photo concepts
What You’ll Need:
Foundational Requirements
- Must have your own device to shoot video, pictures, etc. from. Many schools have rented these out to interns in the past.
- Ability to shoot video and have knowledge of video editing software is a plus
- 1-2 previous internships/jobs or 1-2 years of general work experience
- Strong critical thinking skills; you can identify opportunities, anticipate challenges and gaps, and contingency plan accordingly
- You can effectively recommend strategies, tactics, timelines, and resources needed to achieve organizational goals
- Must have flexible hours including weekends and nights
- Attention to detail and creativity
Mentality for Success
- You have a passion for baseball and a desire to work in the sports industry
- You want to be world class at digital content creation
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, social media, or a related field
- Knowledge about baseball and the American Association
- Working with cross-functional teams in multiple cities & multiple time zones
- Photoshop / design skills
Your Commitment
- Time
- The program begins in May 2023, and runs through the end of August 2023
- The goal is to have you attend most weekend home games for the team in your market. There are roughly 20-25 home games over the weekend for each team.
- Participation
- If you are not able to attend most Friday, Saturday and Sunday games, you are not a good fit for this position.
- Pay - Stipend of $650. College credit is also available.
- Location - The stadium for your home team
