Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Director, Entertainment & Influencer Marketing join our growing team!

starpower is a strategic, pop-culture-centric entertainment and influencer marketing agency that counsels and connects brands with entertainment, sport, music, fashion and beauty Talent, Influencers and Content. We have been recognized as the bridge between Hollywood and healthcare, given our expertise and experience identifying and partnering Celebrity Talent and Influencers with brands in the healthcare industry. starpower works with client across various industries, including but not limited to CPG, Health & Wellness, Financial Services and Beverage Alcohol/Spirits.

The Senior Director, Entertainment & Influencer Marketing is a thought-leader and trusted advisor, you will lead Influencer marketing strategy development and campaign execution on behalf of Real Chemistry clients in the health & wellness categories.

This role can be remote in the US or in any of our US offices, including New York City, Boston, or Philadelphia.

What You’ll Do

Account Leadership

  • Lead accounts, managing the team to ensure timelines, objectives, deliverables, and all other needs are met.
  • Educate clients and internal teams about the value of working with online Influencers and celebrity talent
  • Understand and communicate Influencer best practices for building relationships, campaigns, including pitching, payment, measurement, and FTC guidelines
  • Develop creative and compelling Influencer marketing strategies to meet client objectives (on a yearlong and campaign centric basis), establishing goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Think creatively beyond sponsored content, leveraging earned, owner and shared media in addition to paid.
  • Oversee execution of multi-pronged influencer campaigns, including Influencer identification, negotiation, contracting, legal and regulatory approvals/compliance, campaign execution and reporting/measurement
  • Maintain consistent knowledge of client, generating original ideas to amplify their efforts through influencer marketing
  • Understand key competitors and their business strategies
  • Understand and provide thought leadership on Influencer, healthcare and cultural trends and issues
  • Identify and pitch new opportunities based on industry landscape to help drive organic client growth
  • Provide senior level counsel to clients and manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring quantity of work and timely client deliverables

Pop Culture Strategy Ideation, Development and Execution

  • Take a leadership role in the creative process, discovering and communicating client insights and translating them into strategic and creative pop culture-driven marketing strategies and solutions
  • Identify, develop, pitch and execute pop culture strategies and branded entertainment opportunities for starpower clients
  • Demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of marketing, production and branding
  • Create insight driven and compelling creative ideas, platforms and concepts for starpower clients, and develop persuasive and compelling pitches and presentations to sell them to our clients
  • Lead the negotiation process on behalf of our starpower clients
  • Source and vet pop culture and branded entertainment opportunities by reviewing upcoming TV and film slates, trade publications and industry resources
  • Source and review scripts, storyboard and treatments for potential integration opportunities
  • Proactively build new relationships throughout the entertainment industry and production community, as well as with content creators across all landscapes
  • Develop sophisticated and narrative driven presentations and confidently pitch them to internal team members, stakeholders and clients
  • Provide senior-level strategic guidance for new business initiatives and pitches

Team Management

  • Ability to think analytically and consider different perspectives and alternatives demonstrating commitment to thinking carefully and implementing decisions for the benefit of the company
  • Ability to manage multiple employee schedules, set and achieve goals and work within multiple deadlines
  • Managing overall team’s work delegation, ensuring each team member understands their role and responsibilities across their various campaigns and accounts
  • Hold bi-weekly team one on ones to ensure team members have access to leadership, discuss career growth and mentor team members.
  • Organizing team roles and evaluating employee performance
  • Documenting operational tasks and reporting to upper-level management
  • Performing employee reviews and assessments
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and training program

Business of the Business

  • Ownership and accountability for revenue forecasting and recognition (Forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis)
  • Responsible for generating/negotiating Scopes of Work for each Client engagement
  • Ensure that POs are opened for each signed Scope of Work
  • Responsible for management of client budgets, including OOP and Influencer payments, ensuring that funds are in-house and payment are made on time and in accordance with Influencer contracts, in order to maintain positive relationships with Influencers and brand partners
  • Participate in client Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings, as applicable, including development of meeting agenda and content

General/Client Service

  • Lead client communications and sell in ideas from meeting prep to follow up to Q&A and revisions
  • Attend regularly scheduled and sporadic client conference calls
  • Attend in-person meetings with clients and agency partners
  • Participate in planning sessions from ideation to tissue session to final presentation
  • Participate in business pitches, presentations to clients and prospective clients
  • Assist in the overall growth of the agency, including new business & networking

What You Should Have

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a role with experience driving entertainment and influencer marketing
  • You are proactive & hungry, bringing fresh ideas and improvement processes to the table without being asked
  • A strategic mindset and deep knowledge in the influencer marketing space
  • A proven leader who has experience leading a team of 3 or more
  • Superior relationship building skills, proven ability to connect with clients and develop meaningful partnerships by inspiring confidence and trust
  • Proven ability to develop meaningful celebrity and influencer relationships that results in authentic and persuasive storytelling
  • The ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams a must
  • Strong project management skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience with paid social media in support of influencer campaigns
  • Passionate about the health and wellness space

Pay Range: $150,000-$180,000

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
