Summary

The Brand Engagement Strategist will assist in the planning, execution and day-to-day focus for influencer strategy including vetting and outreach, social media support, community engagement and PR assistance, including media relations support. The Strategist, under the supervision of the PR Manager, will work with Marketing partners to ensure campaigns are aligned across channels and drive consistency for the brand. Planning, execution and reporting of programs for influencers, social media and media engagement is required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Influencer Program - Assistant will act as main point of contact for influencers, leading contracting, concept approvals, campaign timelines and coordinating payment. Will own strategy, budget, schedule, product sourcing and reporting on results of campaigns. Will be responsible for sharing campaign plans with cross functional teams and coordinating approval of content sharing on JOANN channels. Work with vendors and PR agency to vet and recruit new influencers for events (such as Grand Openings), vendor campaigns, and other activations.
  • Communications Support - Coordinates product shipments for media review, events, donations and sponsorships. Support planning and coordination of internal and external events. Support administrative tasks such as check requests, gift card requests, Coupa entering, etc. Identify opportunities for influencer, media and customer surprise & delight on social and other channels.
  • Reporting - Report results from all public facing campaigns, including influencer programs, social campaigns, media outreach and other communications efforts. Make recommendations for adjustments and future campaigns based on results.
  • Social Support - Work with social media team to monitor social performance, identify real-time issues and opportunities, support monthly planning and vet UGC and request rights to use content for digital marketing

Education & Experience

Education Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field

Experience Minimum: 0-2 yrs experience

Experience Preferred: 2 years Influencer Marketing or Social Media Experience
