Social & Influencer Marketing Specialist
Summary: The Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, planning, posting, and editing content on all FIDM social media channels and properties, while developing content, online media, influencer relationships, community relations, and online reputation management. Researches the competitive landscape to stay current on social media trends and developments in the industry.
Responsibilities:
● Strategically plans and creates monthly editorial calendar based on monthly/quarterly/annual social media analytics reports using Sprout and intraplatform data
● Supervises Social Media Intern (when/if applicable)
● Designs and develops video content for domestic and international use, formatted for social media and web
● Spearheads and plans marketing photoshoots in collaboration with Publications and the Marketing Director
● Researches social listening sources to create user-generated content to increase engagement and authenticity
● Collaborates with the Digital Advertising Agency on creating social media advertising content and digital ads
● Develops professional relationships with influencers through outreach, collaborations and manages other projects to enhance FIDM’s social footprint
● Manages the Social Ambassador Program from application review to quarterly activities
● Designs social graphics for social media campaigns, promos, and editorial content
● Creates live content for FIDM Social Media including online and off-line events,
class field trips, and other special events
● Coordinates with staff who manage FIDM’s Social Media Profiles for distribution to internal audiences (such as quarterly newsletters, training presentations and email)
● Regularly reviews and manages online reputation concerns in responds to conversation about FIDM on any forum
● Supervises the continued growth and development of FIDM's social media channels (new, emerging, and existing)
● Manages content creation for FIDM's social media presence that will ultimately result in:
○ Fan and follower acquisition
○ High engagement
○ A positive experience with the FIDM brand
○ Prospective student inquiries on www.fidm.edu and our related online and digital properties
● Develops and implements marketing campaigns to meet engagement and marketing goals across FIDM Social properties
● Collaborates with the marketing team on all Social Media and Marketing projects
Qualifications:
● 3-5 years of social media management experience for a brand or personality
● Knowledge of social media management tools and apps such as Sprout Social,
Later, InStories, UNUM, Canva, and more
● A creative self-starter who possesses excellent organization and project
● management skills
● Attention to detail, time management and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a timely manner
● Intermediate to advanced knowledge of graphic design preferred: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva
● Experience in social marketing on Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube
● Creative and critical problem solver
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Strong writing and research skills with an ability to cater written content to adhere
to company's editorial guidelines and SEO initiatives
● Good technical understanding of online tools, ability to learn new technologies
Work Experience: Social Media, Marketing, Writing
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or similar
