Influencer Communications Intern, Summer/Fall 2023
As part of the Content Creation & Digital Integration team, the Influencer Communications Intern is responsible for supporting day-to-day influencer initiatives on behalf of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP). This role joins a specialized bi-coastal team that works closely with partners across the segment to elevate stories among key advocates and content creators.

Social media influencers are the future of Public Relations/communications, and we work within the ever-evolving digital space. We are disruptive thinkers who aren't afraid to try new things. We gather and analyze a lot of tracking and reporting, but we also get to be a part of some very cool events - This teams plays a role in all of the new attractions and events on property.
A Day in the Life…
- As an Influencer Communications Intern, you have the opportunity to:
- Support influencer engagement by identifying and vetting influencers for projects, including managing outreach and invitation process, as well as serving as a resource for content development
- Partner with the Event Planning and Marketing Teams
- Host influencers while on property – coordinating necessary logistics and travel planning
- Assist with in-person and virtual influencer events and experiences, develop curated itineraries and coordinate inbound influencer requests
- Source, build and maintain the team’s network of influencers, bloggers/vloggers and TikTok creators, including researching and discovering new creator contacts
- Develop campaign/project reports and analyze metrics to provide valuable insights
- Stay apprised of emerging social media features/platforms, competitive landscape and influencer industry trends

- Someone who is nimble, organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, while paying close attention to detail
- An appreciation for the Disney-brand and understands the many global businesses represented within DPEP
- A self-starter and prior experience being in a leadership position
- Strong Computer Skills in: Database Management, Power Point, Keynote, Excel, Outlook
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Possess a strategic mindset and flair for disruptive thinking
- Relevant experience (internship or personal) in developing/managing social media presence, communications/public relations and/or influencer marketing
- Agency experience in PR or advertising where you’ve dealt with multiple accounts simultaneously
Required Education:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Internship Program
- Graduate level preferred, otherwise, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Influencer Marketing and/or other relevant area
Additional Information:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
- This internship is a hybrid position - Must be able to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
- Program length - The approximate dates of this internship are June 2023 - January 2024
- Work details - Must be able to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship
- Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
