Senior Creative Strategist, EAST COAST, US
Kyra is seeking a Senior Creative Strategist to create concepts that align to a luxe beauty brand’s content goals - this is a global beauty conglomerate and the Strategist will be exclusively developing content for 14 of their brands (with future opportunity to scale to more). This is an especially exciting opportunity to work across a first-of-its-kind partnership in the industry!
Kyra is an industry leader in aligning brands to Gen Z through custom content programs and media campaigns, the Senior Creative Strategist will play a key role on the marketing team, ideating, conceptualizing, and developing best-in-class, cross-platform creative solutions in response to specific client RFPs and briefs that find the perfect balance between meeting business objectives and engaging youth audiences.
The role requires successfully translating and conveying brand messaging to the formats that resonate with Gen Z and other target audiences. The ability to develop concepts and liaise with clients for all 14 brand channels is required. Deep strategic knowledge of social media and digital platforms, especially TikTok, is essential. Equally important is experience with Gen Z and millennial custom content creation and the creator landscape. The Senior Creative Strategist delivers best-in-class concepts to facilitate smooth and successful client relations and support sales in driving a successful closing rate and achieving revenue goals. We are especially looking for someone with experience and passion for the beauty industry.
As a creative pioneer with a passion for developing unique partner solutions, the Senior Creative Strategist specializes in ideating on innovative new content formats and subjects, creating engaging, entertaining and informative concepts that align Kyra’s offerings with the purpose, mission, and value drivers of brand partners and agencies. The Senior Creative Strategist is driven to always push creative concepts further so that they reach the highest levels of quality and innovation. The Senior CS also has expertise in lifestyle content and has the required acumen to leverage our Gen Z authority and unique market position. The Senior CS has solid experience creatively developing digital solutions for consumer brands directly and agencies while feeling comfortable presenting to these clients.
Location: This is a remote role, but as there may be some in-person client interaction, we are looking to hire in the New York area or someone working in EST timezone.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop creative and strategic thought starters that answer a brief from our largest global beauty client and their 14 brands
- Be responsive to trend-based and turnkey briefs, leveraging our proprietary data tool to build out ideas and understand relevant trends
- Transform thought starters into industry-leading social, digital, content and event concepts
- Align creators and talent to the brand concepts in a strategic way to meet brand objectives
- Research consumer, cultural and industry trends - with a specific focus on beauty
- Lead social activation responses both conceptually and strategically
- Clearly communicate/write up strategies, concepts and narratives in proposals and presentation decks
- Work closely with post-sale creative team to hand off briefs in order to begin executing sold-through concepts
- Build creative campaigns that encompass a variety of client KPIs (including brand awareness, purchase intent, and consumer relevance) while hitting audience metrics
- Liaise with Talent and Production departments to ensure that creative solutions are executable within timing and budget parameters
- Participate in client meetings and present program concepts
- Provide creative development for brand partners from start to finish, making their brands relevant for our Gen Z audience
- Develop best-in-class, award-worthy campaigns that uphold Kyra’s unique market positioning, while delivering on client goals
- Interface directly with clients’ marketers, brand managers, and social media teams to assist in selling through and executing on creative concepts
- Work collaboratively with integrated marketers, graphic designers, and sellers to deliver best-in-class concepts on-time and aligned to brand objectives
- Work collaboratively with Sales team at times of contract renewal
- Work collaboratively with a project manager and customer success manager to facilitate smooth client communications
- Support post-sale team in initial review of creator submissions for in-progress campaigns
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- 5+ years experience in digital creative roles of ascending responsibility
- At least 1 year of Beauty industry experience or deep knowledge of the industry
- Strategic and creative thinker who strives to always come up with innovative concept
- Highly motivated and energetic, capable of juggling multiple creative projects in different categories adhering to stringent timing deadlines
- Deep understanding of social media and digital platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Podcasting) is a must
- Experience with Gen Z and millennial branded content
- Awareness of the latest consumer (Gen Z), cultural and industry trends
- Experience in distilling briefs, extracting key points/objectives, and developing creative solutions to meet brand objectives
- Experience in client communications and relationship-building
- Ability to clearly and passionately communicate ideas in written and live presentation formats with clients
- Collaborative mindset with the openness to feedback, suggestions, and the relentless pursuit of delivering best-in-class and innovative concepts
- Team player with the ability to help foster a respectful/supportive environment
- Proven track record of developing creative advertising and native solutions for major brands across a variety of consumer categories
- Experience collaborating with sales, marketing, production, and social teams
- Natural-born storyteller with passion for creating innovative concepts rooted in data compiled from a variety of sources
- Experience launching new digital platforms or products highly desired
