Social Media Strategist, Marketing & Strategy
Formative is seeking a Strategist with a passion for digital marketing, social media, and strategy. This full-time role will support the content and creative development of major client campaigns and initiatives.

Experience (required)
- Minimum 2+ years agency, management consulting, advertising or PR agency, or or client-side marketing or communications experience
- Experience contributing to the planning, development, and execution of digital campaigns including writing social posts, writing/editing blog posts, and partnering with creative teams on exeuction.
Primary Skills
- Knowledge of the social platforms from an operational and data perspective (listening, publishing, reports), and of the unique qualities of each platform presents from an audience and creative perspective
- Familiarity with executive communications including audience analysis, peer analysis, narrative development, influencer engagement strategies
- Strong critical thinking skills (ability to break down an ambiguous problem, develop an approach, and execute)
- Proven research skills (market, landscape or competitive research)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including competency with Powerpoint and Excel (analysis and visualization)
Responsibilities
- Support the Editorial Manager in delivering strategic programs, campaigns and communications solutions.
- Frame and execute research (including landscape analysis, user & audience research, use of marketing channels, etc.)
- Perform market, competitive, and program research and data analysis
- Curate news, social media, and other content for research and/or content amplification
- Contribute to developing content strategies and editorial plans for multi-channel campaigns
- Report on KPIs and other measurement objectives
- Support project management initiatives including managing project timelines, coordinating client meetings, and developing weekly summaries
- Additional responsibilities as client and business needs arise
