It is important that you have startup experience or experience that is relevant to a growing, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This is a fully remote role. The current marketing and production teams are mostly based in US timezones but we have team members as far east as South Africa and Portugal.
Who are you? You dream about organization. You’re the best and brightest, and your ego is in check. People love that quality about you, and so do we. Your energy is contagious. You’re curious and serious, but not overly so (serious that is). We have fun here, and that’s a must. Whether you write regularly, and we hope you do, you believe writing is a high-leverage skillset, with the power to change lives.
Who are we? This ain’t your average corporate job. You'll have loads of autonomy in your day-to-day work. We’re a group of whip-smart, talented believers who move quickly, yet thoughtfully. We work collaboratively and share direct feedback.
We’re kind and cool, or kinda cool. Our students and team members are top-caliber folks with lofty visions and influence. We’re privately owned so we call the shots. And like the 1927 Yankees, we’re an all-star team. While we’re ambitious and mission-oriented, we’ll always ensure that Write of Passage is a delightful place to work.
Who aren’t we? We’re not stodgy or clinical, old-school or corporate. We’re not Silicon Valley bros and ladies either. We work smart, not hard. We don’t tolerate laziness or missed deadlines. Grit for grit's sake is a bad way to use energy.
What do we value?
- Students first: We do what we do for the students. We’re obsessed with feedback in both directions, and we’re okay doing some things that don’t scale because quality isn’t a commodity.
- Second to none: Excellence is non-negotiable. Quality wins. Details matter. Our goal is to be the best online learning experience in the world.
- Hearts on fire: Obsessions, welcome. Passion, enthusiasm, and deep convictions loosely held add texture to our people and culture. Bring it.
- Writers always: Founded on the power of online writing, this will always be our foundation. To stay connected with our students and ourselves, we engage in the practice ourselves.
We’re confident this will be some of the most meaningful and enjoyable work you do in your career.
