The Opportunity
To further expand the rate of our growth, IZEA is seeking a strategic, proactive, and well-regarded servant leader to drive new thinking and deliver truly innovative solutions for IZEA's clients.
Reporting to the President & Chief Operating Officer, this senior level role will be responsible for leading a multi-continent team to deliver on growth goals via new, organic business acquisition and expanding existing relationships with leading brands and agencies of a variety types (Creative, Media, PR, Digital, Social, etc.)
Your mission at IZEA
- Lead, drive, and deliver the product, practice, and process of client development and growth for IZEA globally through its Managed Service offering.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of strategy, investment, and optimization across all types of media and creative, but particularly those interrelated to the Creator Economy (e.g. Influencer Marketing, Content Creation, Product Endorsement, etc.)
- Manage, coach, and continuously develop our Client Development personnel and other aligned direct reports within the operating unit.
- Oversee the development of early-stage pitch engagement responses, including written RFIs, RFPs, subject matter eminence, and credentials content.
- Establish strong, collaborative connections with IZEA's client base to identify ways to expand the nature of our working relationship.
- Build and strengthen integration between IZEA's Growth efforts and the broader ecosystem serving our clients, including Campaign Management, Client Strategy, Creator Partnership, Business Operations, and Legal Affairs.
- Work closely with IZEA's in-house Creative Services team to fuel new ideas related to demand generation, brand marketing, event marketing/sponsorship, and related opportunities to demonstrate our deep subject matter expertise.
- Build and support a continuous improvement culture in your day-to-day work ethos, including the hygiene of client information, budgeting, forecasting, and related financial goals.
- Make informed business decisions for the benefit of IZEA based off a combination of quantitative data and qualitative, instinctual experiences.
What You Will Bring To IZEA
- Thorough leadership experience of 15 to 20+ years in media, marketing, or consulting – placing people at the center of your demonstrated successes. You have both the grit and wisdom from experience to be bold and inventive. We need you to bring or create new models, new approaches, new stories, new capabilities to the table.
- Strong communication skills balanced with high emotional intelligence. You communicate clearly, concisely, and adapted for the audience, with a focus on soliciting feedback and driving consensus. At the same time, you understand how to effectively lead and inspire creative individuals while relating to analytical marketers simultaneously.
- You fuel your inner energy by building meaningful relationships inside and outside the organization. As a high-profile executive leader, you recognize that central to your success is your proven ability to facilitate consensus, empower our team members, and inject a spirit of inclusiveness in all that you do.
- The ability to anticipate needs paired with the pride of high throughput. You are a proactive self-starter who knows what is needed and how to drive against it. Your strong bias towards action helped you earn the reputation of someone who gets things done. - Excellent management skills with a focus on agility. You work comfortably and effectively in fast changing, high pressure, and iterative environments/situations while having a keen barometer for sanity. We aspire to capture market opportunities aggressively while not being reckless while doing so.
- You have a knack for dreaming big while also driving simplification. Our industry can very quickly deduce itself to buzzwords and jargon in lieu of substance. Your superpower is the ability to simplify complex concepts, constructs, and language while also focusing on what matters most to our clients and our team members.
