Social Media & Community Engagement Manager, Full-time Competitive Pay/benefits

We’re looking for an A-player to help continue our rapid growth. You are data driven, organized, creative, a strong copywriter, and understand what it takes to navigate a crowded category. You will play a key role in creating, organizing, and executing the marketing and brand strategy through multiple channels. You will work alongside the CEO, CMO, and Senior Design Director to strategize and execute marketing campaigns through multiple channels; direct to consumer, Amazon, and brick and mortar retail.

Driving results and sell-through across all of our sales channels is the name of the game. You’ll be expected to navigate an ever changing social media environment (iOS13, tiktok, etc), launch new channels, and leverage new technology to organize and scale the brand.

  • Location: Austin, TX; Hybrid Options Available after 2 months of employment

  • Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000

Role Description

Located in Austin, TX we are an organic, plant-based, and simple ingredient snack brand. We are on a mission to provide better for you, and better tasting snacks for kids and kids of all ages.We believe simpler is better so all of our snacks are made using a limited number of the highest quality ingredients that we can find.

Role Responsibilities

MARKETING CALENDAR

  • Develop, implement & own a marketing calendar to plan, track & visualize various campaigns, activations, launches & programs

SOCIAL MEDIA - ORGANIC

○ Instagram

  • Strategy - develop concrete strategy for growing instagram page with zero compromise of creativity and aesthetic
  • Execute relevant, on-brand daily posts
  • Develop content through all media types at Instagram (reels, stories, posts, etc)
  • Perform strategic review & reset goals every 3 months
  • Execute brand partnership giveaways with like minded brands

○ TikTok

  • Evaluate advertising opportunity
  • Develop an organic TikTok strategy for the TikTok channel
  • Work with new creators on TikTok through branded content as well as Spark ads

○ Pinterest

  • Evaluate opportunity
  • Develop, implement & manage strategy if deemed part of core marketing strategy - develop a concrete strategy for managing and growing and Pinterest page

○ Other Channels

  • Evaluate other marketing channels/opportunities and present them as you see fit
  • Innovation is key, always be willing to test

MARKETING PARTNERSHIPS

○ Use GRIN to manage affiliates and paid influencers

○ Build and manage a product and influencer/affiliate seeding program

○ Evaluate the success of influencers and affiliates

  • Manage KPIs and cut non performing partners
  • Continue to develop new partners

○ Manage communication of campaigns and goals with brand partners

○ Develop & execute new partnership strategy

○ Perform strategic review & reset goals every month

AUTOMATED MARKETING

○ Email Marketing - Klaviyo

  • Evolve, grow, and test email marketing strategies
  • Manage & optimize existing flows
  • Build email campaigns that are cohesive with overall brand campaigns
  • Coordinate & implement design improvement & graphic development with the creative team
  • Perform strategic review & optimize every 6 months

○ Text Message Marketing

  • Continue to drive growth of our SMS list
  • Optimize current SMS marketing strategy
  • Perform strategic review & optimize every 6 months

WEBSITE MANAGEMENT - Shopify

○ Ensure website & Shopify is always up to date and bug-free

○ A/B testing implementation & planning

○ Heatmaps/tracking

○ Google analytics

○ Work closely with our web developer to enhance the user experience

CONTENT ORGANIZATION & MANAGEMENT

○ Ensure our media buyer always has the content and copy they need

○ Work with our graphic designer and other outside partners to generate new content

  • Organize existing content into useable library
  • Leverage user-generated content for marketing efforts

ORGANIZATIONAL

○ Find solutions to integrate to organizational and execute strategies across a team

○ Properly document processes and organize them on our drive

○ Manage analytics and KPIs in a neat and concise manner. Weekly reporting is expected

CUSTOMER SERVICE

○ Manage customer service tickets from direct to consumer customers through multiple channels; direct email, sms, chat, Instagram/Facebook, etc.

○ Ensuring external and internal customers receive world-class customer service including accurate information and consistent and punctual communication.

○ Tracking all customer requests, setting timelines and hold all internal and external stakeholders accountable for meeting deadlines.

○ Communicating with our warehouse with any complex order notes or instructions

Qualifications

It bodes well if you have:

  • A passion for organic better for you snacks
  • Bachelor's degree, equivalent education or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce
  • 3+ years of experience in non-paid organic digital marketing (email, sms, etc.)
  • 3+ years experience of content curation and management
  • An affinity for word-play
  • Experience with Lightroom/Photo Editing/Adobe Studio
  • Ability to write on brand, engaging copy across multiple channels
  • An understanding of what it takes to succeed on Instagram/Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and other social media channels.
  • Experience creating and executing a marketing calendar and marketing plan
  • Experience organizing & executing marketing campaigns with multiple parties/agencies
  • Capacity to effectively communicate brand goals and vision to partners
  • Experience with Shopify/ Shopify+
  • Experience A/B testing, tracking & optimizing

Bonus Points

  • Experience with GRIN influencer marketing platform
  • Experience with Shopify apps; Shogun, Retextion/Recharge, Flexify, Gorgias, PostPilot, Okendo Reviews, and LoyaltyLion
  • Experience marketing to families with kids
