General Summary

We are seeking a talented Social Media Content Creator to join our team. Under the supervision of the Social Media Specialist and Sr Director Brand Content, the candidate will be responsible for creating social media content across various platforms. You should understand social media trends, platforms, and analytics strongly. You will work closely with the Social Media Specialist to create visually compelling and engaging content that aligns with USAHS’s brand.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Be in the know about on-campus activities, including Student Association events that could have opportunities for the content of interest.
  • Attend school events to capture photos and videos that showcase the school's culture and community. Videography and photography for work-related projects is to be shot on your phone. Therefore, skills in this area are a plus.
  • Appear in video content as needed. Example - Filming "A Day in the life" style video for social platforms, including TikTok and Instagram.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop content calendars, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Comfortable filming testimonials, interviews, and other available content of yourself and other students that accurately depict the student experience at the University.
  • Be able to upload photos and videos on shared sites within a timely manner.
  • Create content that aligns with University’s goals and objectives

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • The successful candidate must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better on all coursework completed and be currently enrolled in a graduate level degree program (highly preferred, but not required for Working Scholars Program)
  • Individuals should be in good standing with the University and at least in the second term of study (exceptions may apply)
  • Must possess strong professional writing, editorial, and communication skills
  • Must be organized and capable of solving issues, responding to general questions and responding to routine requests for information.
  • Be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment, and demonstrate an understanding of the academic and professional experiences of students.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • The Student Worker should plan to commit up to 20 hours per week to this position

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.
