Your role at Clorox:

In the role of Social Media Specialist and Content Creator, you’ll help plan and execute social media content and influencer campaigns for Burt’s Bees. In addition, you’ll create video assets to drive awareness of and engagement with Burt’s Bees on TikTok and Instagram. This exciting role is perfect for someone who not only lives and breathes social media, but also has a history of successful execution and knowledge of each platform’s best practices. Equally as critical, you’re a strong creator who can bring a purpose-driven brand to life in a way that engages our target audience. In this role, you’ll be part of the Brand Engagement team and report to the Associate Manager of Digital Brand Engagement.

In this role, you will:

Social Media Execution

  • Manage the day-to-day posting of social media content and plan out the social media calendar, setting cadence of posts and balancing variety of content themes to align with brand content strategy.
  • Write briefs for monthly organic social content, work closely with Group Manager, brand managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor social media community management to ensure teams are engaging and responding frequently and accurately on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Build social media ads for key platforms and manage paid content tracking document, partnering with internal and external stakeholders for inputs.
  • Evaluate organic social media analytics and reports to provide learnings from past content and optimize future content. Pull ad hoc content metrics for campaign share-outs.

Social Video Creation

  • Develop multiple, highly-engaging vertical videos per week to grow community through TikTok and Instagram Reels. This includes creating a video from start to finish: ideating, creating, editing, and publishing vertical video for our primary social platforms.
  • Through video, produce creative storytelling moments that grow brand affinity and capture our brand tone of voice.
  • Be one of the faces of our TikTok account, but also comfortable filming product and other people.
  • Provide continual content ideation that aligns with our content pillars and product priorities.
  • Quickly identify emerging TikTok or social trends and leverage to create content that appeals to our target consumer.

Influencer Execution

  • Vet influencers, creative concepts, and content according to influencer guidelines, ensuring selected partners fit both the brand and creative brief.
  • Maintain day-to-day communications with influencer agencies to provide collective brand feedback. Ensure campaigns stay on track and meet key deadlines within the overall timeline.
  • Re-share influencer content on owned channels according to each platform’s best practices.
  • Compile campaign learnings for internal stakeholders to improve future influencer content.

What we look for:

  • Highly creative with an engaging video presence and strong understanding of concepting, creating, and editing vertical videos
  • Strong experience with video editing apps as well as in-platform tools on TikTok and Instagram
  • Must be an enthusiastic and avid social media user with understanding of current and emerging social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of influencer marketing best practices
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment with strong multitasking skills and adaptability to change
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with capacity to prioritize work and manage competing deadlines
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • 2 plus years of experience in creating, editing, and managing social media content
  • CPG Brand Marketing preferred, but not required.

This is a hybrid position which requires 2 days a week at the Durham, NC office.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $84,500 - $158,000

–Zone B: $77,500 - $144,800

–Zone C: $70,400 - $131,700

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
