$82,264.00 - $123,406.00
Overlake Medical Center & Clinics has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Public Relations/Communication Specialist. This role serves as a storyteller, content creator and communications project leader for the Corporate Communications team. Plans, develops, creates, and delivers communications that advance Overlake Medical Center & Clinics’ mission and goals. Under the direction of marketing management, lead all public relations/media relations efforts and is responsible for writing/publishing articles for Overlake’s internal e-newsletter and administering the corporate intranet. Advises and collaborates with key business partners to create effective communications for internal or external audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, public relations or related field is required. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Video, photography and image/graphic editing skills.
- Experience in managing complex, multi-faceted projects involving multiple stakeholders under tight deadline pressure.
- Presentation, brand, communications and storytelling experience.
- Experience in crisis/reactive communications, including response and support.
- Experience in Associated Press editing style and adherence to editorial and graphic standards.
- Experience in advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion communication strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong skills and work habits/response demonstrating commitment, organization, follow-through, self-direction and dependability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time-management skills to work in a team environment with responsibility as a high-profile member of the organization is needed.
- Requires appreciation and tolerance of rapid change, multi-tasking, take initiative as a leader and self-confidence.
- Ability to work flexible and extended hours occasionally in order to meet media response requirements.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite preferred.
- Prior spokesperson experience preferred.
- Prior event planning experience preferred.
