Summary

The Sr. Director, Integrated Marketing is responsible for providing critical thinking and thought leadership as a member of the Marketing Leadership Team at GEICO. This individual will drive innovation, share new ideas and identify better ways to activate customer touchpoints across all channels. The role is responsible for oversight of the media, creator marketing, sports marketing, and experiential marketing disciplines. They will have oversight of internal marketing professionals, as well as the agency organization.

The Sr. Director Integrated Marketing will collaborate with Marketing Strategy, Analytics & Insights, Marketing Operations and Creative teams to create compelling integrated marketing plans that will drive positive business impact and brand health gains. The Sr. Director, Integrated Marketing will partner closely with their peer, the Sr Director, Media overseeing programmatic and search.

Collaboration and confidence will be critical to the success of this role. Our marketing organization is rapidly evolving and integrating new functions – so it’s important you are comfortable with a high level of interoperability across various internal and external teams to produce solutions as well as developing new methods. We’re looking for someone willing to challenge the status quo and raise the bar with every initiative.

This role reports into the VP, Integrated Marketing & Media.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Grow and develop a high performing team of marketers.
  • Build community and connection with the internal team members, agency team members and marketplace partners.
  • Build a team culture that champions/is oriented around the customer – driven by insights, measurement and learning to maximize results.
  • Develop internal communications that power best practice sharing, case study development and speed to market of new learnings and celebration of the team’s work
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for GEICO’s media and experiential agencies and guide the investment strategy with key enterprise partners.
  • Allocate budget and people resources to maximize business impact

Strategic Planning Responsibilities

  • Translate business and marketing strategies into optimal integrated marketing plans and drive executional excellence
  • Interpret business and consumer data to develop insightful solutions to business problems
  • Understand and interpret marketing mix learning, consumer insights, marketing strategy, industry, and marketplace knowledge.
  • Unlock the team’s ability to enhance customer experiences, delight customers more consistently with the right product offering and drive profitable growth
  • Lead team in the development of strategic briefs that clearly articulate strategy, vision, and direction for the agencies
  • Establish go to market strategy, in partnership with media agency leads, to maximize brand and product position in the marketplace.
  • Direct the development of all plans and validate their alignment to business and audience objectives as defined by the business and marketing strategy
  • Develop and implement an omni customer-led marketing plan that drives brand affinity, delivers on growth and retention goals, and builds brand love.
  • Lead team in building compelling, culturally connected content and sponsorship activations to drive brand consideration, affinity, and policy closure.

INVESTMENT & ACTIVATION OVERSIGHT

  • Determine how to best invest and optimize GEICO’s $1B+ marketing investment
  • Establish and implement the appropriate vetting and performance evaluation criteria for media, creator, sports and events partners.
  • Craft a rigorous investment framework for existing and new league, team, school and network sports partnerships.
  • Develop best in class digital and real-world experiences
  • Ensure media delivers to aligned business goals and strategic goals in DE&I, Sustainability and in support of Modern Marketing Transformation initiatives
  • Develop ongoing test and learn scenarios with the measurement team to inform learning agenda, best practices, and playbooks
  • Partner with Analytics to develop media effectiveness guidelines and develop GEICO’s future forward media approach based on learnings and marketplace assessments
  • Oversight of media plan execution and stewardship, tied to set metrics and goals, inclusive of day-to-day activation and optimizations of tactics.

Key Qualifications

  • Brand development, marketing experience, consultancy and/or agency experience
  • Previous positions in transformational organizations where you have been responsible for providing clear analysis of future opportunities and advice on how to act in the now
  • Comfortable in delivering on short-term goals, while creating sustainable long-term value
  • Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make recommendations to internal GEICO teams
  • Capable of simplifying and communicating complex trends in the marketplace landscape and consumer media behavior into clear consumer journey insights and recommendations
  • Deep experience in media planning/buying and sponsorship marketing
  • Channel experiences across TV, Radio, Print, OOH, Digital, Creators, Branded Content, Sports Marketing and Events
  • Experience in working on a cross functional team

Annual Salary

$190,000.00 - $190,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
