About the Job:

The Taco Bell social team is an industry-leading group that develops and builds a breakthrough brand presence, innovative programs, and leading community engagement for Taco Bell across social channels and platforms.

As the Manager of Digital/Social Integration, you’ll be responsible for collaborating with many stakeholders across the business to deliver bar-raising Social strategy at pace and scale. This role sits at the intersection of social and other key functions that enable best in class execution: Social + Brand Creative, Social + Digital Experience, Social + PR, Social + Paid Media. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative while understand the larger marketing landscape and business objectives; using the right social media strategies to deliver work that's social first, integrated and first-to-market.

Reporting directly to the Head of Social Media, this role will focus primarily on the following:

The Day-to-Day:

  • Be the cross-functional connector that represents social within the integrated planning process and comms planning, partnering with brand, paid and PR
  • Develop highly strategic and innovative social strategy recommendations that align with campaign and business objectives, including “white space” identification
  • Work closely with Social Content, Paid Social and Digital Analytics teams to ensure key delivery goals are met, ability to extract insight/actions from data and relate back to business goals
  • Partner with Head of Social and social listening counterpart to build reporting dashboards and processes
  • Responsible for insights and performance reporting, identify trends from large data sets, regularly conduct competitor assessments and staying up to date on relevant industry trends and benchmarks, and assess the company's relative performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead and manage learning agenda for the year in collaboration with creative and paid media teams, devise test plans across the relevant platforms to maintain a consistent approach to innovation and to optimize overall content approach
  • Have expert knowledge and able to stay on top of evolving trends on all primary platforms with an eye toward building community (Reddit, Discord) and driving connection with Gen Z (TikTok, Snapchat, Twitch, YouTube)
  • Be forward-thinking—ensure a steady level of experimentation is maintained on the brand's social media accounts
  • Spearhead project to optimize YouTube channel and content approach in accordance with SEO and keyword optimization
  • Responsible for upgrading approach to social media content creators and influencer relationships in partnership with agency, maintain pulse on culture, emerging influencers and content creators. Push the thinking on how social can be used to grow brand relationships
  • Ideate Social-first creative as part of a team and/or by directing multiple agencies to produce ground-breaking content
  • Become a thought leader internally and externally, educating colleagues on the latest social media trends and executions
  • Responsibility for the development of direct reports that includes goal setting, monitoring performance in context of a development plan and providing feedback in a timely manner
  • Partner with the Head of Social to ensure continued internal capability, agility and strategy development

This role demands fluency in the social landscape in order to effectively influence, manage and inspire both the internal social team as well as external award-winning agency partners. With an unparalleled pace and volume of creative development, this role requires great mental flexibility, ability to juggle under intense deadlines and a capacity to lead teams under pressure.

Is This You?

  • Minimum 8+ years experience working in demonstrated expertise in brand-focused social strategy capacity, designing and deploying digital campaigns across all major social platform, experience working in or with advertising agencies a plus
  • You possess an end-to-end understanding of social media strategy, including standard channels & emerging platforms and how to cut through the noise to drive impact
  • You bring deep knowledge across organic and paid social media strategies with the ability to develop cross-over executions in partnership with Media Strategy team
  • Proven skills in social data and analytics, lead in KPI and metric setting and able to form digestible performance summaries to share with wider business stakeholders
  • Experience managing influencer campaigns and understanding of the social creator ecosystem
  • Experience testing and optimizing strategies based on results including A/B testing and learning agenda management
  • Must also be a great collaborator and creative partner with a proven ability to provide logical strategic guidance and insight.
  • Ability to shape ideas to be culturally-relevant to brands and consumers alike
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership/coaching experience and comfortable managing levels of varying experience who can build trust with employees, eliciting and inspiring award-winning work
  • Highly collaborative, passionate and curious about social media, the customer, customer journey and digital experience

Salary Range: $115,600 - $164,780 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
