POSITION SUMMARY

Loud And Live is looking for a leader to drive and lead the sales & business development with primary focus on Agency Marketing Services, and emphasis on experiential, content, shopper, social, digital and influencer marketing among others. This is an amazing opportunity for a leader that has agency life in their blood, someone who is a natural networker, new business driver and is motivated by the thrill of the hunt and win.

This is the perfect role for someone that can command the new business process from RFI/RFP through the pitch. The ideal candidate must have exceptional communications, management, and sales skills (including hard sell), be a true multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a great relationship builder.

We are looking for a leader who is highly creative and self-motivated, an engaging team collaborator, strong presenter, and not afraid to shake things up to ensure our teams do their best to win.

This visionary would be recognized as a thought leader in the space, that can cultivate relationships, provide senior strategic thought leadership, drive new business development, and attract, manage, and mentor a team of high caliber talent.

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the CEO and other Business Development heads, focused on driving new business and revenue generation. You will research, identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities that build and expand the presence of L&L and its service offerings to brand and event clients.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

General Business Development

  • Drive and lead the sales & business development with primary focus on Agency Marketing Services, with emphasis on experiential, content, shopper, social, digital and influencer marketing among others
  • Build a culture of growth and revenue generation within the Business Development team, as well as enterprise-wide
  • Work with CEO and Division heads to develop yearly target revenue goals and business development plans, including new business revenue forecasting, target prospects, white-space opportunities and sales pipelines
  • Motivate teams to work constructively by coaching and counseling on best practices; ensure maximization of L&L’s network of assets, resources and “fly-wheel” value proposition
  • Exhibit strong presenting and communications skills to effectively articulate and present ideas to colleagues, client prospects and others
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate across the organization to identify new business opportunities, including up-selling and cross-selling of Loud And Live’s capabilities and assets

Outreach and Marketing

  • Qualify prospects and develop effective proposals leading new project and retainer revenue
  • Take the lead to identify and create outreach to target clients and key prospects (brands, agencies, partnerships, etc.) with the potential to generate revenue and ensure a consistent, organized approach
  • Work with senior management to identify sector white space areas and top prospect lists
  • Conceptualize and execute marketing efforts for Business Development purposes (networking events, marketing & promotional materials, etc.) highlighting the company’s capabilities, resources and innovation
  • Attend and participate in relevant industry events on behalf of L&L, and network effectively to generate leads with prospective clients

Planning and Pitches

  • Guide, organize and lead the pitch process in collaboration with other Business Development heads throughout the entire life cycle of the sales and RFP pitch process, including research, strategy, insights, ideation, conceptualization, budgeting and creative (with support from in-house teams)
  • Lead and manage the on-going business development efforts, including management of yearly and ongoing sales pipelines, weekly sales meetings, pitches, prospect outreach, etc.

Leadership and Management

  • Establish leadership role as L&L’s Business Development lead, including sharing best practices and successes with respective teams and senior management
  • Work with CEO and Department Heads on development and execution of annual new business strategy and plan
  • Partner with HR to recruit and develop top talent and provide career coaching to direct reports and team members as appropriate
  • Evaluate team employees’ performance and support their career development, including developing and managing their KPI’s and commission plans
  • Become a trusted coach and counselor on the overall business development process

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant discipline
  • 15+ years of professional experience in new business development and sales
  • Agency Experience is a must
  • Entertainment and Marketing industry experience is a plus
  • Broad practical knowledge of agency marketing services, with emphasis across experiential, shopper, digital, social, influencer, content, sponsorship, and partnership marketing
  • Successful track record of identifying, qualifying, and closing new business
  • General knowledge of entertainment, sports, and lifestyle-events industries
  • Proven ability to make a professional and positive impression with senior management within potential client organization
  • Track record of leading and managing business development teams
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business development plan and annual revenue targets
  • Adept at the annual planning and monthly forecasting/reporting processes
  • Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once
  • Excellent verbal, written, project management and presentation skills to effectively and succinctly articulate agency value proposition to client prospects, colleagues, and others
  • Willingness to travel
