Job Summary:
As the Lead, PR & Communications, you will develop and execute strategic multi-channel public relations and thought leadership campaigns designed to enhance the reputation of the Chamberlain Group employer / corporate brand and increase the visibility of our Executive Leadership Team. You will lay the groundwork from an awareness perspective for a future liquidity event. You will define target media and influencer contacts, identify new and creative ways to reach them, develop relevant content, and engage with contacts to tell and amplify our corporate brand story. You have high standards, are comfortable with nuance, and thrive in new and unique challenges.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 7+ years of public relations experience with some experience working in technology, software, or related field
- Experience implementing PR campaigns in support of IPO readiness and execution
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to write compelling copy
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, mainly in North America
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Experience in investor relations
- Crisis management and communications
Additional Job Details:
- Create positioning strategy, messaging, and materials that support future IPO / liquidity event readiness
- Partner with senior leaders and internal subject matter experts to reinforce key narratives and create compelling stories
- Cross-collaborate with internal communications to identify opportunities to promote initiatives, programs, and content externally
- Cultivate relationships with print, digital, and broadcast journalists as well as influencers across the business, financial, and technology segments
- Respond to day-to-day press inquiries and handle distribution of press materials and other resources as required
- Pitch and secure media interviews and speaking opportunities for our executive leaders and thought leaders
- Pitch and secure high reach / relevancy placements and coverage for Chamberlain Group
- Assist in handling issue management and crisis communications
