Leaf Group’s Brand Partnership division is looking for a Sr. Media Planning & Strategy Manager in our New York or Los Angeles office.

The Sr. Media Planning & Strategy Manager supports our media business and is responsible for conceiving the digital strategy for all advertiser programs associated with revenue across our Leaf Group brands. You will help develop and strategize impactful client offerings that are performance-driven and align with client KPIs

This is a critical role on our Brand Partnerships team. You have it all: attention to detail, critical thinking, enthusiasm, organization, resilience, self-discipline, self-motivation and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

You’ll Report To: Associate Director, Media Strategy

A typical day as a Sr. Media Planning & Strategy Manager might include:

  • Demonstrating advanced knowledge of all Leaf Group products offerings, packages, audience capabilities, and distribution channels
  • Understand product performance and how they align with client’s KPIs
  • Respond to larger deal size RFPs ($250K - $750K) and develop media plans in line with clients' strategic marketing goals while balancing costs and margins.
  • Develop and consult on campaign setup to help reach and execute client’s KPIs.
  • Help train newer members to the Media Strategy team on processes and procedures.
  • Spearhead team projects that help to inform and create efficiencies with the larger Brand Partnerships team such as ad product decks.

What you have:

  • 4 - 6+ years experience working for a digital media company in account management, media planning, Ad Ops
  • Fluency in digital media language: impressions, CTR, CPM, eCPM, CPV, vCPM, etc.
  • Business-minded with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation technologies and capabilities
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks; ability to prioritize responsibilities; excellent time management.
  • Self-sufficient problem solver.
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, and thrive in an extremely fast-paced, detail and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • CRM and OMS Proficiency. Boostr experience a plus
  • Excel and Google Drive Proficiency (including Google Documents, Sheets and Slides); Asana and/or Jira experience
  • Excellent Verbal & Non-Verbal Communication. Ability to use “Positive Language”
  • Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.

💰 $85,000 - $100,000 per year

The starting base pay for this role is between USD 85,000 and USD 100,000 . The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, and other perks.
