The Manager, Partnerships and Public Relations leads the strategic thinking and integration for external partnership marketing and brand PR activations for Ocean Spray. They will serve as the main point of contact for external partners teams, external partner agencies, and Ocean Spray’s PR AOR. This role involves creative & process stewardship across marketing touchpoints to drive human connections with consumers when and where they’re most receptive. This individual must operate as a masterful collaborator within a fast-paced, often ambiguous, highly complex environment to ensure integration of partnership marketing and brand PR activations across all touchpoints of a 360 marketing campaign. In addition to a strong understanding of partnership marketing and brand PR activations, it is helpful to have experience building strategies and tactics across the full integrated marketing ecosystem, including (but not limited to) paid media, digital/social, influencer, and omni channels. This role will report into the Associate Director, Marketing Activation.

Position location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.

Scope Of Responsibility

Agency Management:

  • Lead day to day management of Ocean Spray’s PR AOR relating to brand PR activations.
  • Lead day to day management of external marketing partnership relationships including (but not limited to) external partner teams and external partner agencies.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with external partnership marketing teams as well as agency partners including (but not limited to) partner agencies and PR AOR.

Creative Stewardship

  • Steward integration of Masterbrand creative into marketing partnerships and brand PR activations.
  • Steward development and approval of creative including (but not limited to) brief writing, concepting, creative evaluation and creative production.
  • Enhances partnership between internal and external teams for execution of fully integrated activations meeting brand objectives.

Marketing Planning

  • Ensuring contracted partnerships are integrated within holistic marketing plan to meet Brand’s marketing objectives and aligns with brand positioning and creative campaign.
  • Connects the dots across integrated marketing channels to ensure they create a cohesive feel within the holistic marketing plan.
  • Evaluate new partnerships opportunities as well as seek out marketing partnerships that bolster the brand personality and achieve brand objectives.

Cultural Integration And Inspiration

  • Stays up-to-date on marketing trends, emerging platforms and capabilities, constantly mining for opportunities to build our brands, improve brand personality, engagement and growth across all consumer touchpoints and provide thought leadership for opportunities for culture hacking in our programming.
  • Bring culturally relevant moments and ideas relating to partnership marketing and brand PR to the team for consideration.
  • Steward integration of diversity and inclusion strategy with partnership marketing and brand PR activations.

Infostructure And Budget Stewardship

  • Leadership of multiyear partnership strategy aligning with master brand and product segments (Ocean Spray beverage and food) objectives.
  • Lead contract negotiations with external marketing partners. Once contracts are finalized ensure contracts are fulfilled.
  • Overall ownership and management of marketing partnership and brand PR budget within the integrated marketing team, with understanding of brand financial goals. Works with team to adjust plans as budget targets change throughout the year.

  • Build annual objectives, personal development plans supporting overall career path within marketing team.
  • Identify personal development needs as well as opportunities for grow capabilities and leadership.
  • Participation in broader Ocean Spray and Brand Elevation team building, volunteer, and engagement opportunities

Competencies And Skills

  • B.A. or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of partnership marketing, brand PR, and consumer-centric marketing frameworks preferred
  • 5+ years experience with integrated marketing, partnership marketing and brand PR activations– on either agency or client-side.
  • Experience working with Brand leaders to develop integrated marketing plans that meet brand objectives
  • Experience working with internal and/or external creative teams to produce holistic brand assets that can be leveraged across entire ecosystem
  • Ability to proactively and collaboratively work with others in a cross-matrix organization
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience managing budgets with general understanding of Finance/Accounting process
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to deal with changes and pressure.
  • Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
